What are we offering you is an opportunity to learn about the daily routines of a Regenerative agriculture farm.

Changing the way we produce food is an urgent necessity, and we are looking for ways to do that using Syntropic Farming.

Agoforestry consortia increase productivity, sequester atmospheric CO2, save on fertilization, pest control, and irrigation, improve soil quality, and serve as excellent educational tools.

We are seeking individuals and couples to live for a few weeks the daily routine on the farm with us. We practice Syntropic Agriculture, 100% organic, and sell locally.

Fue una experiencia positiva en mi vida pero faltó transparencia en la invitación del voluntariado respecto a las condiciones. Las instalaciones de baño, ducha, cocina y espacio de comedor no me parecen en condiciones de pasar un invierno ahí, yo estuve sólo dos semanas y pude aguantar, Si hubiera sabido eso hubiese tomado otra experiencia de voluntariado.
Te dan comida ilimitada, te proveen de lo necesario para tu estadía y nos turnamos a cocinar, eso es genial porque te da la posibilidad de comer cocinas de distintas partes del mundo.

Lamentamos profundamente su evaluación de 3 estrellas por la climatización invernal. Tomamos nota de su feedback y ya estamos implementando mejoras concretas para futuros voluntarios: nuevos edredones, refuerzo del aislamiento en su habitación y un fire pit para el área social.

Nuestra infraestructura (cuartos con paneles sándwich aislantes, puertas y ventanas térmicas) siempre ha sido transparente, como muestran las fotos en la plataforma. Nuestro objetivo es optimizar el conforto interno.

I very much enjoyed my time at Sintropia Temperada. Fernando is a wonderful host. If you have any problems, he will do his best to help. He doesn't live at the farm but commutes every day.

If you want to learn more about trees and other plants, this will be an amazing opportunity for you. I was going to stay for a month but there was no way I was going to be able to learn all that I wanted to in that time. Thankfully Fernando had available rooms and I was able to stay for 4.

I had a great time at Sintropia Temperada! The work is fullfilling and sometimes tough in the heat but we always made sure to have a nice lunch break. Fernando and the other people I met during my stay are really nice and we got to attend a fun and interesting workshop one of the days. The facilities are very simple but it worked fine for me, all in all a very good experience!

Fernando is a very kind & receptive host. There is always work to do (weeding, pruning trees, planting, harvesting) so expect tiring work. But there is a lot of flexibility with how you work your hours which allows for plenty of rest! Working here with Fernando was very rewarding & I would recommend

As for the location, you are in Setúbal 20 miles away from Lisbon, which is about a 2 hour train ride. The nearest bus stop is a 20 min walk from the farm. Getting a ride (uber, bolt) can be a bit of a hassle because the drivers struggle to get to the rural address. Plan accordingly! :)

Fernando was a great hosts is always aware of what his team wants. If you’re looking for an experience that allows you to improve your experience in plants and the understanding of ecosistems this is the volunteering for you. The farm is also a great place to start learning new skills as a non agriculture person. The rhythm of work is really good as it can be agreed and be customised to your necesites and expectations. I think the project has a very valuable goal that inspires you to keep working towards it . :))))

Overall I really appreciate my time in this proyect, would recommend 100%☺️☺️
