Sails On Kos

Hello, my name is Alexi, and with my wife Madeleine, father George, mother-in-law Louisa and our two young sons we run a glamping resort on the island of Kos. To start we would like to express that not only is this our business and income, it is also our community, passion and home where we believe you will have an unforgettable experience.
We aim to provide an inclusive community for people to enjoy our site, the island and the culture of Greece. We absolutely love having volunteers and staff from all around the world work and live alongside us to help run our eco village resort, contribute to guests having an amazing experience, and to maintain and love our property and business in a way that nourishes everyone involved. As a volunteer we welcome you into our home as a personal guest, and many of our volunteers return on following years. We have volunteers from all over the world come to stay with us and in the height of the season you might be living alongside 20 other people at any time, so we have a real community spirit.

We have a mixed team of staff, from the village we live in to all around the world, Yemen, UK to Canada and Australia. We try to bring our staff into our family and work as a large family team

I had a wonderful experience volunteering at Sails on Kos and met some truly amazing people. The community is welcoming and social, and it’s a great place if you enjoy being outdoors. Keep in mind this is a camping-style experience: you’ll stay in a canvas tent with basic communal bathrooms, and there are tons of mosquitoes, bugs, and the days are extremely hot. If you’re fine with camping conditions, you’ll love it here. If you need comfort, it may not be the best fit. The work is chill, and they respect the hours. It is a fun, happy, crazy chaos, and I love all the memories I have made <3

My experience at Sails was amazing! Everyone was very welcoming, the island is quiet and beautiful, and the place is located just minutes away from the beach. Shifts were communicated beforehand, and working hours always respected. The working environment is very good too, and the job is enjoyable.
You get one hot meal a day, and there's always food available.
The accommodation isn't always the best, but Maddie and Alexi were available to help us fix issues.
Overall, I'd highly recommend this experience to anyone: I made great memories, saw beautiful places and met amazing people :)

I had an amazing time at Sails On Kos and can’t recommend it enough! If you like camping, you’ll love it – it’s right by the beach, with free bikes to get around. Mornings were for work, afternoons for the beach, and dinner was always delicious. The team was super chill and helpful, and the monthly beach BBQs were a blast. Work was easy and they respect your time. Big thanks to Alexi, Maddie, and everyone there – I met some awesome people and made great memories!

I loved the experience.
Good food, respectful working hours, nice pool, and generally kind staff.
Very beautiful beaches.
What could be improved: the volunteers' tent and the conditions of the bicycles available.

I highly recommend it to anyone looking to meet people from all over the world: Australia, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Lithuania, the USA, Canada…

Life here is simple — a bit of work, then it’s off to the beach or the pool.

As for the work, everything is well organized: a schedule is shared on Sunday for the following week, allowing you to plan accordingly. Working hours are respected.
In terms of work benefits: the meals are generous and you rarely lack anything. The facilities for volunteers at the campsite are simple but more than enough.

Thanks again!
