Experience living on a yacht out of the water on the hardstand at Reback Island Marina

At times the maintenance gets dirty. If you worry about breaking finger nails then don't apply

If you want experience life doing maintenance on a yacht then you’re welcome to come stay on my yacht and help with maintenance work.

I will require a helper who is not afraid to begin tasks with little supervision.

4 hours work a day.
5 day week.
Do maintenance, COOKING & CLEANING.
You pay for your own drinks and snacks.
YOUNG PEOPLE EAT SO MUCH.

WHEN NOT HELPING, YOU CAN EXPLORE THE BEACHES & SIGHTSEEING ON Rebak Island Resort. Enjoy the swimming pool, the a/c gym and on your days of travel around Langkawi main island.

No air conditioning on the yacht.

PEOPLE WITH MAINTENANCE SKILLS ARE ADVANTAGED.

After 4 hours work a day you get to enjoy bush walking swimming pool air condition gym in the general beauty of living on a four star resort island without the cost. Reback Island is a short ferry ride from Cenang beach Langkawi. On your days off you can use the ferry and travel across to the main island of Langkawi then do the tourist thing. Obviously there will be cleaning and cooking our food and a lot of maintenance repairing things around my yacht. Most of the young people have really enjoyed the time spent on re-back island.

My experience was really nice, sailing was a lot of fun and a new experience for me, we got the chance to participate in a regatta which was really cool & also got to use the resort on rebak island! The work was not too much for us we just did a few hours of cleaning in the morning and then had the rest of the afternoon to enjoy.. thankyou Isn for my stay on Wilson it was very enjoyable :)

I had a great time on Wilson, I stayed for a total of 6 weeks and it was a nice balance between work and relaxing. Ian is very kind and has some awesome stories about his life! However, he sometimes makes some inappropriate jokes which I didn’t appreciate. Overall if you want to experience what it’s like to live on a boat and meet other sailers it’s a great opportunity.

I had a great time on Wilson – we got two days of sailing in, and I arrived just in time to come off the hardstand and enjoy life on the water. Work was well matched to ability & strengths, & the facilities were clean and tidy.
Ian is easygoing and kind. That said, he occasionally makes sexist/sexual remarks, which though personally I’m fairly desensitised to, I know others would find inappropriate & it’s something worth noting in a shared environment.
Otherwise, I’d recommend the experience to those who enjoy hands-on learning and living on a boat!

Thank you so much for your honesty. Yes I love to make jokes and try to cheer people up. You are a delightful person who adds to the fellowship with others. Your a good worker & most of all of your work was to my satisfaction. Sadly I will not be taking on any more female backpackers for that very reason. With me it's what you see is what you get and I don't think I'll ever change that so that's why male workers would probably be better. Enjoy your life. any host would be pleased with you.

I had a really lovely stay whilst staying on Wilson. Unfortunately we were unable to sail due to repairs, however this did not hinder the memorable experience I had. I learnt new skills, whilst having the opportunity to meet some really lovely people. The community on board is very welcoming, friendly and super chilled and I would absolutely recommend this experience to everyone.

I enjoyed having Sofia onboard my yacht. She was involved in daily activities and enjoyed getting involved in the projects and maintenance on the boat including sanding and painting. Any host will be happy with this beautiful woman. I recommend her to all hosts and hope she enjoys her time travelling.

I had a great time on Wilson. Ian is very kind and welcoming person and I felt comfortable the whole time.
Unfortunately we couldn’t sail but we had free access to a resort with pool, gym and yoga classes!
I really enjoyed my time with our little crew and would love to come back for sailing one day!
