Peace House Sakura

We're a lo-fi, older style guesthouse with only around 10 rooms. Right on the edge of two of the most interesting historic neighbourhoods of Kyoto! Secluded somewhat in a discreet side street, everything you could otherwise want is at a mere stone's throw away.
Our goal is to provide clean and comfortable accommodation for guests visiting Kyoto, as well as providing opportunities to do language/culture/study exchanges. The most common so far has been language exchange.
You can help us by maintaining the cleanliness of the facilities, as well as creating any improvements that will hopefully help to enhance the general atmosphere. Creative initiatives are welcome! Hours can be pretty loose and flexible - although we have a default plan of five-hour shifts four times a week. (You also get to sleep in, since business hours are from 12pm to 11pm.)
You'll therefore have plenty of time to get to know Kyoto and Kansai (nearby Osaka, Kobe, Nara etc.), and or spend time studying language or whatever other activities interest you!
We also want to greenify the place as much as possible, so if you have any gardening know-how or can-do, then we might also be the place for you :) Feel free to water the plants if you see they're dry!

We are a hostel where we want both guests and volunteers to feel comfortable being there. We want them to have a great experience in the city of Kyoto and enjoy the wonders of the surrounding area.
