Great experience for immersing yourself in a beautiful subtropical landscape. I learned quite a bit about local flora and fauna, got to learn how to use a sickle, and was a 30 minute walk away from a beauuuutiful ocean beach. The house is really lovely and all communication was very easy. Two hours of work a day, with a good mix of independent tasks and tasks with the host. I felt very comfortable and the entire experience was very low key while still being very interesting and unique.

I had a great time working closely with Mitra on various tasks both indoors and outdoors from tackling overgrown bamboo and de-weeding, to cleaning when the rain comes down. The house is in a great location with my favourite Tee Tree lake just down the road perfect for a sunset and peaceful swim. The beach is also nearby along with plenty of fun walks. The Gondwana sanctuary is a lovely place to spend time in the gym, playing pool, and meditation/yoga too. Would highly recommend to travellers if they want to get away from the hustle and bustle of a city to live in the forest for a little bit.

I stayed one week at Mitra's place and it was really great. The location of his home it's beautiful, full of animals and plants; theres a lake nearby, which is a very peacefull place. The beach is near too.
All the people around are very friendly. I got to know part of the community and everyone was very nice with us woofers.
In terms of the work it's 2 hours per day, but Mitra is extremely flexible with the schedule , so if you want to do more or less work one day it's okay if you do the 14 hours per week. The work itself is mainly helping in the garden or cleaning the house.
