Le Coeur d’Estourgie

Because it’s real, relaxed, and beautifully in progress. You’ll be part of an adventure in the French countryside, helping a friendly family build something special — with plenty of laughs, good food, fresh air, and no two days the same. If you like nature, practical tasks, and feeling at home while doing something useful… this is your spot.

You’ll be part of a safe, welcoming space with a young, friendly (and a bit chaotic 😉) family. We treat volunteers as part of the team — or more like part of the family. You just join our rhythm, help where it fits, and we figure things out together based on your strengths and comfort. No pressure, just good vibes and mutual respect.

I had the greatest time in Pionsat with Tim! The family was so welcoming and the gite was such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay! My only complaints are that the town is small, very small and there’s no public transport out of the city. He does provide a bike, but it’s nearly impossible to get out of Pionsat on your own accord. I’d also recommend having some basic French down before coming, the host family speaks English, but those in town do not. Getting to Pionsat can be a little tricky but Tim is flexible, patient, and willing to work with you! Would go back in a heart beat.

Tim and Jennifer made France feel like a home away from home. I had an amazing experience and their kids were so sweet.

Something to be aware of it is a small town so if you are looking for lots of things to do around the area you will have to take a train.

However it is a gorgeous place in the countryside. If you want to disconnect from the city life this is the place to be. I loved taking walks and it was a perfect place to catch up on all the books I wanted to read.

The work was gardening and helping prepare the Gite for guests. Tim was working alongside with us.

I was lucky to be the first worldpacker at Tim and Jennifer’s place. I had a wonderful time and was immediately welcomed into the family and got to meet Evi, Owen and Anna. I spent most of my time working in the garden with Tim, and he really understood that it’s boring to work alone so he was always there for us to get through the tasks. I was really respected by Tim and he never expected too much from me. What he wanted most was to gain and share experiences with other people, and I learnt a lot from Tim and Jennifer, and they even shared tips for learning french as well as life experiences
