Language Cafe Mickey House

Over 800 people have joined so far, some of them start living in Japan after, some of them got a partner from here.
You can stay in Tokyo not just as a tourist. You'll have another "life" here in Tokyo for a while!
Here is rough schedule for 2025, but I can accept from 3 months before of your staying.

Since my cafe stands for over 40 years, there are many fans in all over the world. I was also a customer since 15 years ago, and took over from the ex-owner 12 years ago. I really like talking with people and sharing our experience together. Our staffs will take you guys to fun places (Especially Friday night), I just want you guys enjoy this program!

This experience was AMAZING! My first time solo travelling and Mickey House allowed me to feel so welcomed and I met so many amazing people. Living in Japan compared to just visiting for a short time is definitely the way to go, I don’t even think 2 months was enough time to see everything! The house was ok.. but the experience made up for it!

I volunteered at Mickey House for two months (May and June), and it was a truly unforgettable experience. It’s rare to have the chance to meet people from all over the world, spend time with them, and learn about their cultures. I also had the opportunity to interact with locals during language sessions at the café and the epic Friday Parties. Yuta-san is incredibly accommodating, making everything about the house and shift scheduling (including swaps) seamless, and he even assists with necessary paperwork. I strongly recommend giving it a shot!

Mickey cafe was the best experience as a volunteer that I have had, a great place that gives you the opportunity to teach and learn not only languages, also about the Japanese culture. All the people always with good vibes. The owner Yuta is an incredible person always available for helping others.

This was my first time volunteering and I couldn’t be more thankful for this experience at Mickey’s house! It was so much fun to talk and connect with local people and learn something new every day. The tasks and hours were were good and you had plenty of time to explore the huge city!

I’m so grateful for the other volunteers and how good friends we all became, miss you all dearly!
