La casa de la permacultura

Our property is really wild, that means you will live in a zoo without fences. There are monkeys living on the property you will see exotic birds and much more... You will learn how to cook Peruvian dishes and how to grow plants for eating. There are many trees like lime-trees, banana-palms and avocado-trees.

We are an open-minded team which is interested in learning new things and getting to know other cultures. Our aim of the project is to preserve the flora and fauna and also to live as sustainably as possible. Please consider that life is really easy here on the farm which means there are a lot of bugs and you will get definitely out of your comfort zone.

Diego, Jorge, and the entire team were incredibly kind and welcoming. They always made sure I felt comfortable and part of the group. The volunteer project was a lot of fun. We worked on a wooden house, planted various plants, and even made our own lemonade. Oxapampa is such a beautiful and peaceful place, surrounded by amazing nature. Diego cooked delicious meals every single day, and overall, the experience made me feel truly connected to nature. I felt very welcomed and would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a meaningful and authentic experience.

Diego y Jorge, fabulosos anfitriones.

Diego is a gracious host and a great cook. A very well-rounded individual, he can teach you not only about sustainable agriculture, but also about many other subjects. He has a special passion for archeology.

Most of the work revolves around plant and animal care and is reasonably light. Diego works hard to tailor the experience to your specific needs.

One of the best aspects of my stay here was how safe I felt during the entire visit, whether hiking the forest, walking the town, or leaving my stuff unattended.

I highly recommend this venue with an ideal blend of Nature and culture.
