K's House Fuji View (Backpackers Hostel)

K's House Mt.Fuji and K's House Fuji View offer free accommodation in exchange for assisting in housekeeping and cleaning duties in our hostel.
Mount Fuji has different face day by day, so it can be nice experience to stay a while in this area.
Note: We are only able to offer this position to working holiday visa holders.

K's House Mt.Fuji and K's House Fuji View are located in the Fuji Five Lakes area. Every year over 10,000 guests from more than 70 different countries come to stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you to the Mt. Fuji area.

I felt very welcome from the first moment; all the staff are very kind and sociable. They really care about whether you're comfortable or if you need help. I enjoyed every moment at K's House.

We had an amazing month in K's House Fuji. We were welcomed nicely by our co-workers, and the vibe at the hostel is very laidback, social, and easy. We met many nice people during our stay. The nearby nature with Fuji and the lakes is absolutely stunning. Work hours were 3-4 hours a day, work consisted of cleaning public toilets and bathrooms, and after that little tasks. Sometimes we had a nice tea party after. We slept on the shared dorms with guests. On addition they have very good kitchen utilities offering all the basics, and we also got a little food support weekly.

We had an amazing month at K’s house Mount Fuji exploring the beautiful area and meeting other travelers. The hostel has cozy common areas and nice big kitchen. The other volunteers and staff were lovely. You’ll work max 4 hours a day. The work is mostly cleaning toilets and showers and the common areas. They are quite precise about the cleaning but everything is taught well. The beds are comfy and you’ll be sharing a mixed dorm with other guests.
We hope to visit this place again❤️

I spent a month a K’s House Mount Fuji and I had an incredible time. It was my first worldpackers experience and it was such an enjoyable one. The staff here were kind and welcoming. The other volunteers at the time were also super nice and great to be around. The guests too. It was a pretty warm and friendly vibe to be honest. The work was as agreed upon with hours being fair and rostered. Work is split between the Mount Fuji branch and the Fuji View branch but this is communicated beforehand. It was easygoing and not overly stressful at all. Recommend!

I spent a month here and it was a very interesting and rewarding experience. The atmosphere is relaxed, the place is easy and comfortable to live in, and I had a lot of fun during my stay. I met many kind and interesting people from all over the world, and the staff was always super nice and helpful.
The work itself is simple and well-organized, but it does require dedication and attention to detail. That said, the tasks are clear and the team is supportive, so everything runs smoothly.
Highly recommend!
