Hi, I'm Matias, a local surfer for 15 +++ years and together with my brother Esteban and our sister Francisca we are the owners of the hostel, we invite you to be part of our family business, of our passion, you will feel at home, because once you arrive you are at home away from home and part of the team to , we are proud to be the best hostel in the Valparaiso region - viña del mar town . our hostel is located in the heart of the residential / tourist sector of the city of Viña del Mar.

My brother and I make up the team, and together with the other volunteers, we feel like a family. All volunteers will be treated with respect and a lot of good vibes! We have discounts at restaurants ( 8 places ) in our area, free entry to clubs ( 4 clubs ) , and discounts on rentals and surf lessons :)

Mi experiencia como voluntaria en este hostel fue realmente muy buena. Desde el primer día se nota el cuidado y la dedicación de Mati y Esteban con buena energía, siempre presentes y atentos a que todo funcione bien.
El ambiente es relajado y auténtico. Es un lugar donde puedes descansar, pero también conectar fácilmente con otras personas. Los días se van armando solos entre playa, cartas, asados y buenas conversaciones.
Hay buena organización, respeto y apoyo, lo que hace que la experiencia como voluntaria sea cómoda y enriquecedora. Me voy agradecida, con buenos recuerdos. Gracias!

Increíble experiencia, Esteban y Mati proporcionan un espacio de seguridad, apoyo y diversión. Realmente una súper oportunidad si es tu primera vez haciendo voluntariado. Se extrañarán los asaditos y el ambiente tan fraterno

Jaguar Hostel es por mucho uno de los mejores lugares donde hice voluntariado.
Esteban y Maty que son los anfitriones, son personas muy amables, que desde el momento que llegas te hacen sentir parte del equipo y te abren las puertas de un hogar, siempre atentos a tus necesidades o dudas.
Las tareas son simples, se hace limpieza general diaria entre todos, el trabajo en recepción es simple, incluye Check in y check out de los huéspedes, tienes que estar atento al timbre, responder las llamadas y mensajes al WhatsApp y dejar ordenada y limpia la cocina.
La ubicación es privilegiada.

I had to end my volunteer experience earlier than planned because I went through a situation that made me feel very uncomfortable and out of place. I didn’t feel safe or confident enough to stay. It’s a shame, as the atmosphere seemed positive at first, but what happened completely changed my experience. This was my personal experience, and I believe it's important to share it honestly.

We had to end the experience due to unprofessional work and a failure to meet expectations, duties, and responsibilities within the hostel. She was always 100% supported throughout her time with us. Regarding the aforementioned awkward situation, all evidence was handed over to the Worldbackpackers team.

My first volunteer experience with Worldpackers was incredibly positive!
From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed and quickly felt at home.

The atmosphere at the hostel is fantastic, thanks especially to Este and Mati, who are lovely, always helpful, and very attentive. 🔆

The tasks include one hour of daily cleaning, several reception shifts, and one night shift, all in a friendly and supportive environment.

Also, Viña del Mar is charming and chill.

I highly recommend this experience!
