Hostel Elf
Our hostel has been open for more than 25 years, making us one of the most famous hostels in Prague. We’ve always had a great relationship with our volunteers, and many of them keep in touch even after their stay. Come and experience this legendary place for yourself! 🙂
We are two owners, Hana and Šárka. Since we both love traveling, we truly understand the needs of our guests and volunteers. We’re easygoing and easy to get along with, so working with us is always a smooth experience.

The hostel elf experience was probably the best volunteering I've done by far. The hosts and the guests are all so friendly and I was surprised how much I enjoyed staying there. The responsibilities are straightforward and engaging and the facilities are great. Would highly recommend for someone who wants a more social role or just experience Prague more.

Such a great experience for me! ✨The job is simple, fun, and very enjoyable, if you also love interacting with people from all over the world. I worked three BBQs a week and one night shift per week, so I had plenty of free time for myself during my stay.
Ondrej, Nikita, Nuur, Matt, and the rest of the staff were very kind and helpful, always willing to assist with anything. I’m truly grateful.
I would definitely recommend volunteering here, and I’d love to come back one day! Sending much love 💛

My experience was okay.
I worked as a BBQ chef three days a week in exchange for a bed in an 8-bed mixed dorm. The arrangement is fair.
you get according to how much you work.
The hostel is very social, so if you’re under 22, you’ll likely have a lot of fun.
However, I received a rude welcome and goodbye from the team, which was disappointing, but overall, the experience was fine.

Hostel Elf was an incredibly experience! The entire staff is very fun and welcoming and really go out of their way to make it a positive experience for you. I felt comfortable and respected the entire time and it truly felt like a family environment! Very happy that my first WorldPackers experience was at Hostel Elf. Also it is very very clean!! The cleaning staff work incredibly hard and it is noticed

If you're going to Prague, you have to stay at this hostel. Great location, the place is clean and tidy, volunteers get a lot of benefits in exchange for just a few hours of volunteering. The work is pretty simple—mostly reception tasks. The staff are really cool, and you get the chance to meet lots of awesome guests.
