HCC Children's Home
Your Help Means Everything
Hi, I’m Sushmita, and I run HCC Children's Home in Kathmandu—a place my father founded to give children without families a loving home. After he passed away, I took on the responsibility of keeping his dream alive.
We encourage our children to be independent and help each other with daily tasks, fostering a sense of responsibility and teamwork. As a volunteer, you’ll have the freedom to contribute in ways that match your skills—whether it’s teaching, cooking, cleaning, playing, or simply offering love and care. There’s no set role—just bring your heart and your willingness to make a difference.
With the kids in school from 10 AM to 4 PM, you’ll also have time to explore Nepal’s rich culture, visit temples, hike in the Himalayas, or relax and enjoy the local community. Volunteering here isn’t just about giving—it’s about growing, connecting, and being part of something truly meaningful.
We welcome volunteers with open arms, and your presence will leave a lasting impact. ❤️
Our "staff" isn’t made up of hired workers; instead, we are a family. The people who help run the home are either family members or young adults who grew up here and now give back by supporting the younger children.
As a volunteer, you can expect to be treated with warmth, kindness, and respect. We know adjusting to a new place can be overwhelming, but we’re here to support you every step of the way. Our home is a welcoming space where you’ll feel like part of the family from the moment you arrive.
We value flexibility and appreciate every contribution, big or small. Whether you're here for a short stay or a longer commitment, you’ll leave with unforgettable memories, deep connections, and the knowledge that you made a real difference in the lives of these children.
We can't wait to welcome you! ❤️
