The farm is located in the hills by the fjord in the west part of Norway - Its one of the most beautifull places in Norway, and maybe the world.
You will help with the work in the morning and afternoon and weekends are free. Here is plenty of hiking possibilitys around the farm, and we can fish in the fjord. I prefere people to stay 4 weeks or more.

I am running the farm with some help from Poland in the summer month. Rest of the year its up to me and the helpers to do the job. You will have your own private room and shared bathroom with hot shower. We eat together 3 meals a day. No Vegan food /vegetarian food is provided!

We had a very good time staying with Jan ove for four weeks. He is not the most extroverted person you will ever meet, but he is very nice, welcoming and respectful and will help you with anything you need when you ask him. Tabea on the other hand is very extroverted and will do anything to make you feel included. We stayed in the small house and is was very cozy, and warm when you light the fireplace. The view on the fjord is amazing and you can do a lot of hiking tours in the mountains. There are also a lot of cats. Thank you for the experience 🫶🏻

We had a wonderful stay on the farm! The work was rewarding, but the people were the highlight. We got to work with 2-4 other volunteers at a time which was really nice, and met people from around the world.

The work varied from day to day, with apple picking, bottling juice, pressing apples and more. The work hours were great, we had lots of time to relax and explore.

The living environment was really comfortable and we loved living with so many cats!

P.s: try befriending the local band, they are amazing!!

I have really enjoyed my staying at the farm. I felt really welcome there. The host respected the working time. He also cooked for us, and it was delicious 😋. Also, we had the chance to cook whatever we want, like cakes, cookies ... The work was not so difficult, and we had a lot of free time to do hikes nearby and explore the Norwegian nature. I enjoyed this experience, I would definitely repeat.

Staying at Jan-Oves Farm for 2 month was really exciting. I learned a lot of new things and had an amazing time. However this place might not be good for you if you can't entertain yourself. This place is mainly nice for hiking and you can take a bus to the next city, but that might take you about 2 hours. But the nature is really beautiful and Jan Ove knows a lot of interesting storys and facts. You just need to ask him.
I would recommend that place for everyone, it was really nice

I had a wonderful time at Jan's apple farm. I was warmly welcomed, and the working hours are respected. The location is surrounded by nature, so it's a bit remote from larger cities. If you love nature, this is definitely the place to be. During my stay, there wasn’t much daylight, so I recommend bringing something to keep yourself entertained indoors.
There are also plenty of adorable cats roaming around :))
