English home in Ba Vi

We have a spacious, three-story house with new and well-maintained facilities, so you'll have a comfortable place to stay while in Vietnam.

We want to share with you the simple, everyday life of the Vietnamese countryside.

We're passionate about learning English and different cultures. We can learn from each other and enjoy a cultural exchange.

Come stay with us and experience a cozy home, the beauty of rural Vietnam, and the joy of connecting with new friends.

I'm an English teacher who loves learning and helping others learn practical English to connect with people from different cultures. I used to work as a tour guide and receptionist, and I love traveling, so we might have a lot in common to chat about. Our team is passionate about English. We learn together, make videos, and try to have a positive impact on the English learning community. As a volunteer, you’ll be treated like one of our core team members. Maybe we'll do some activities together like cooking, visiting local places, and sharing information about the area. We want you to feel at home and enjoy your time with us.

I am so glad that I chose this volunteering opportunity, since the first day I enjoyed teaching the kids. So the tasks are easy and well delegated , every morning you know what you have to do and at what time , so you can plan your day accordingly, the main tasks were making courses (easy but you have to give quality in that) , editing videos (easy) and teaching english (very fun ). The accommodation was very comfy and luxury haha. The host Sean , always make you feel comfortable and always eager to know about your culture. Mie and Quyen , very friendly and supportive. Also the volunteers 🫶

I really enjoyed my time in English home Bavi ! Teaching the kids was a fun and meaningful experience, and I always felt supported. Mie, Duong, and Quynh are super friendly and understanding, and you can see how much effort they put into the work to make it perfect for the kids. They made me feel comfortable from the start and they even made sure to provide meals that respected my needs as a Muslim. I’m thankful for their care and support and happy I got the chance to be part of their project 🥹❤️❤️.

Good experience in the countryside of Vietnam. Mie, Sean, and Quynh were nice and took an effort to get to know the volunteers. The work was nice sometimes it was editing videos, making worksheets, recording videos, etc. The hosts also have bikes that you can use to go around the village.

Tess, we're really sorry we didn't manage to write you a review on time. It was a very nice experience to host you. Tess is commited to the work and always let us know where she stopped in her tasks. She's organized and embraces structure. Thanks for you time with us. :)

I couldn’t be happier with this first volunteering experience! From the very beginning, you can feel Duong, Mie and Quynh’s eagerness to teach and improve things at the school. I felt very comfortable with them as well as with the other volunteers. The space is welcoming and the food is delicious!

On top of that, we had the chance to learn a bit of Vietnamese and dive into their culture. The conversations, the classes, and the children’s endless energy made this experience truly unique and very special.

Sean, Mie and Quynh were amazing hosts! I felt welcomed into their home, had great conversations and lots of fun. I also had the opportunity to meet incredible international travellers. The work is varied and interesting. The teaching is fun, creative and engaging - how all education should be! The classes were rewarding and the children were really sweet and eager to learn. Sean immersed us into his life in Ba Vi with fun excursions to the national park and local restaurants. We even went to his niece’s birthday party! Could not have dreamt of a better first Worldpackers experience!
