Dos Palmas
We are building something really cool in a really cool place. If you love the beach, surfing, hanging out with chill people, or have a passion for hostels - This is perfect for you. You’ll always have a home at one of the best hostels in El Salvador.
You will be part of the family. You and your fellow volunteers can hang with us as much as you like or with each other. Will make it a fun experience all building something together.

Dos Palmas is a beautiful hostel in a great location. The owner Nico wasn’t around a lot during my stay, leaving many responsibilities to a 23 year old volunteer who trained everyone else. The lack of structure and Nico’s continuous absence made the working environment feel chaotic despite the work itself being quite easy. I hired a Spanish teacher during my stay but don’t expect to work on your Spanish otherwise - it’s a very touristy area.

I had an amazing time volunteering at dos palmas, Nico was an awesome host and made me feel like family from the start, as a volunteer I was able to get free surf board rentals and discounted surf lessons which I used a lot and enjoyed heaps! The reception works hours were super flexible so you were able to plan your week out with travel plans and mostly surfing! Altogether dos palmas offers a social fun atmosphere where you will meet people that will become life long friends. Thankyou Nico for being so kind and the opportunity again, I loved it! :) Hannah

Absolutely loved our time in Dos Palmas! The volunteering is now for a reception position as the hostel is renovated and up and running. It’s truly impressive how many great people and vibes pass through the spot. The amenities were super comfortable and the work is so relaxed, often spending my free time hanging out with whoever is on shift anyways. Niko is a great host and a great guy who went above and beyond to consider our preferences and ensure we were comfortable. Still sad to have left dos Palmas and miss Nico, the cats, the volunteers and the guests dearly :(

My volunteering experience at Dos Palmas was exceptional. Nico is a great host, very welcoming and contributes heavily to bringing the social and loving vibe the hostel has to offer. In my time at Dos Palmas I met so many new friends from all over the world and can’t wait to see them again. I’m more than grateful for the experience to learn the work here and to meet so many amazing individuals. Would highly recommend volunteering at Dos Palmas!

This is a great place to meet travelers alike and chill. I met some awesome people that I know will be in my life in the future. Unfortunately the host did leave on vacation and since it is a new hostel things needed to be figured out. I believe reception work could improve for a more organized format in checking people in and out and cash handling. But otherwise this hostel is great to chill by the beach, surf. And meet people
