Casa Grande Hostel

We have a large hostel with lots of green space with plants trees and garden space. Here you can connect a lot with Nature, we are on the side of a small mountain range with lots of streams and waterfalls close by. The hostel has a great atmosphere to meet new people and share meals with other travels.

I like to have a staff that works hard but also knows how to have fun. by doing 5 shifts a week you cover your stay and breakfast. Once a week i like to take everyone on a excursion. there is generally a fun energy in the hostel where everyone can feel comfortable. We have a few dogs and cats that are also very friendly.

Casa Grande has been an awesome experience. It was a great opportunity to practice my Spanish and learn more about Argentine culture!

Whilst I was the only international volunteer here, Colin made a great selection of volunteers and I developed some wonderful connections :)

I learnt a lot about building a well and developed skills in garden maintenance.

For those that don’t speak much Spanish, it could be a tricky stay, so make you’ve had some lessons! 5 out of 5 ♥️

Una experiencia que literalmente me cambio la vida, tuve la suerte de coincidir con un grupo de voluntarios maravilloso que tanto ellos como el anfitrión me hicieron sentir bienvenido desde el minuto cero, no solo pude aprender sobre el rubro hotelero sino que forme amigos y experiencias que nunca voy a olvidar, estoy profundamente agradecido con casa grande y todo lo que me ha dado, si vas con buena predisposición de aprender y conocer gente te aseguro que la vas a pasar muy bien

Collin and the other volunteers made this experience so perfect, I had the best time.
Merlo is beautiful, surrounded by mountains, lush trees, rivers and streams, and the town is so pretty and quaint. There are shops and community events easily within reach of the hostel with a bit of walking, and I was never bored during the three weeks.
The people you meet here are so welcoming and lovely. I made close friends very easily, that I am still in touch with. The volunteering hours were well organised, communicated, fair and for the agreed times. I 100% recommend this experience.
