Cal Guerxo offers a unique opportunity to experience life in a remote and tranquil village in the Spanish Pyrenees. If you’re looking to escape the busyness of modern life and reconnect with nature, this is the perfect place for you. Surrounded by mountains, rivers, and magical landscapes, you’ll find peace and inspiration.
As a volunteer, you’ll become part of our family for a month or two, helping us with daily tasks (cleaning anda cooking once in week days) and spending time with our 11-year-oldson, Kauê. This experience is ideal for those who love the outdoors, enjoy cooking, and have a passion for engaging with children. You’ll have your own private room and plenty of time to explore the area, whether it’s hiking with our friendly dog, Maya, cycling through the hills, or simply relaxing in our biophilic-designed home and garden.
This is a chance to immerse yourself in a slower pace of life, share your talents—whether artistic, sporting, culinary, or otherwise—and experience the joy of living simply and meaningfully.

We are a family of three: Emmanuel (Belgian), Juliana (Brazilian), and our son Kauê. Emmanuel works as a regenerative design guide, and Juliana is a teacher, singer, and dancer. Together, we’ve created a warm and welcoming home filled with love, creativity, and a strong connection to awareness and nature. Our small garden follows permaculture principles, and our home’s interior design reflects our passion for living in harmony with the environment. Volunteers will be treated with respect, kindness, sincerity and care. To integrate the volunteers is part of our goal family, and we’ll ensure that your stay is enjoyable and enriching. We value open communication and will work together to create a balanced schedule that includes personal time. We’re happy to share some of our passions and practices with you, such as Hand in Hand parenting, Zen meditation, Belgian dishes, singing classes, or Chi Kung. We aim to create a positive and nurturing environment where you’ll feel at home.
