I enjoyed my volunteer experience at English Homestay. I was immediately helped with my bags and greeted as soon as I arrived. The school has both male and female rooms for your stay. You teach conversational english with university students and adults 30’s & 40’s 6 days a week 7:30pm - 9:30pm. Which I prefer as it takes the pressure off of the student and the volunteer teachers. The students are very grateful for your help. The owners are great, always smiling and exuding joy. The area is filled with locals and plenty of food options. The rooms & bathrooms can be a bit cleaner. I recommend.

This was my first volunteering experience through Worldpackers, and it did not match what was described. On arrival, there was no host support, no bed prepared, and the accommodation and washrooms were unhygienic. Volunteers had to manage everything themselves. The host asked us to clean the facility, which was not mentioned in the listed responsibilities. The experience was poorly organised, with no clear schedule, long idle periods, and no consistency in students, making meaningful engagement impossible. Overall, the experience felt mismanaged, unproductive and discouraging as a volunteer.

Hi everyone
Don’t listen to her. She is crazy and she was aggressive and she is lied about my place.
She and her sister gave me 1 star because she was angry about my service. This is Viet Nam. We don’t have nice 5 stars condition like a 5 stars hotel room.

It was such an amazing experience. I can’t thank them enough.
First, the cat “Bun” is so cute.
Second, Harry’s personality is incredibly kind and cheerful—he often copied the way I spoke or acted and made me laugh a lot.
Third, I made wonderful friends. Not only the Worldpackers community, but also the school staff in Vietnam were full of positive energy.
This is a beautiful memory I will never forget.

This is my first volunteering experience with The worldpackers , and I honestly love it so much! Harry, the host, is super informative and helpful with everything. I also met so many new friends here, and the working hours are really flexible. The place itself is comfortable and cozy. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here, and I hope Nong Nep Homestay keeps getting better and better in the future! 🥰✨
