BIO-AGRITURISMO IL VIGNO
IL VIGNO is one of the highest rated organic farms in Caprese Michelangelo as it is a truly unique and magical place. We are surrounded by nature with endless miles of hiking trails starting at our own doorstep. There are rivers, waterfalls, natural pools and many other amazing spots that you can explore in your free time. And, although we all work hard and expect the same from our volunteers, you will learn a lot and have the satisfaction of achieving something that you will be proud of for a long time to come!
Marc & I are life-long entrepreneurs with big ideas and dreams. And Il Vigno is our latest venture. We are looking for volunteers who are curious, eager to learn and not afraid to get their hands dirty to share in the joy and challenges of running a successful organic farmhouse. We have also travelled to more than 90 different countries and love to share our experiences with you. We have worked with many volunteers from different parts of the world, and found the experience very rewarding. We usually ask for 5-6 hours of work per day from our volunteers, with 1 -2 days off per week and in exchange, we provide full board and meals. You will be staying in a 3 bedroom apartment with its own kitchen, living area and shared bathroom. During your free time, you will have access to the beautiful nature that surrounds the property. Il Vigno has a certain magical aura running through the river and hills that surround the property. Work hours were communicated, and rest hours were respected. Any possible changes were communicated by the hosts. Adria and Marc have a plethora of experiences, it was great to get to know and learn from the both of them. There were come issues with the staff, Adria and Marc were both responsive and supportive through helping volunteers to resolve conflict.

One of my favorite experiences! Work: I helped on the tech side, 5 hours a day on weekdays & had weekends off. Infrastructure: great for digital nomads. Super fast internet. The volunteer’s apt is huge and the property is breathtaking. At night, it’s like you’re sleeping with noise-canceling headphones on. Food: plentiful and delicious. Hosts: Adria and Marc are great. You can see how much they care for the property and that they really have a vision for it. Cats: two loving angels that I’ll miss dearly. I’m grateful for this experience & hope I can volunteer there again in the future.

We personally didn't find it good. The communication methods used by the hosts are very direct and sometimes rude. They warned us that we had to work extra hours during the working days and that was okay, but they insisted that we work some hours even on our days off. The hosts have two cats that live in the volunteers' apartment and they warn of this, but they don't say that the volunteers must take care of them and are responsible for everything that happens to the cats. Personally, we don't recommend this experience.

Thanks for the feedback, Giulia. I think there were some misunderstanding in our communication that made your experience here unpleasant. We apologize, but also thought that we had clarified the issues with you.
In regards to the extra hours -- we were delighted that you wanted to work extra hours, but did not ask for them or required them. On average, we ask for 5-6 hours of work from our volunteers.
