Banbondoi volunteers hub

traveler should choose to volunteer with us because it’s more than just a place to stay — it’s a place to belong.
You’ll be part of a supportive, family-like community where the work is meaningful but not overwhelming, giving you time to relax, explore nature, and truly enjoy your journey.

You’ll connect with people from all over the world, take part in activities like cooking classes, barbecues, and bamboo rafting, and make a real impact by helping others practice English. Set in a peaceful, green environment, our place is ideal for travelers who want to slow down, recharge, and create genuine connections while giving back.

It’s a home away from home — and an experience many volunteers carry with them long after they leave 🌿🤍

We are a small, family-run project with a close-knit team who truly care about the people who come through our home. Our staff is friendly, supportive, and always happy to help — many of us live and work together, which creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Volunteers can expect to be treated with kindness, respect, and honesty. We see volunteers as part of our family, not just as helpers. Communication is open, expectations are clear, and we always try to make sure everyone feels comfortable, safe, and valued. We understand that everyone comes from different cultures and backgrounds, and we embrace those differences with openness and respect. Here, you’ll be supported, listened to, and appreciated — and we do our best to make sure you leave with great memories, meaningful connections, and a place you’ll always feel welcome to return to 🤍

The place is beautiful, spacious, n truly peaceful— can mentally detox there n enjoy complete solitude. I had my own personal space n felt genuinely happy. Classes are mostly held in the evenings, leaving your days completely free. Everything is conveniently close: a 7-Eleven and food markets are just a short walk away. There are usually 8–15 volunteers around, so you meet plenty of interesting people. Their mom prepares our meals, and they’re always delicious. They even have their own bar on-site, with wonderful live music creating a relaxed vibe. Rare to find such an experience.Dont miss ii

I have enjoyed my stay at Banbondoi.
I stayed in a shared room with 2 other girls. There are usually 10-15 volunteers at a time, so it doesn’t feel lonely. (at least when I was there)
The classes are 40 minutes long, 6 classes per day, usually in the evening.
I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a calm, cozy place to have a rest from a busy city and wants to practice being an english teacher.

First off Maggie (another volunteer) took the words out of My mouth. I do not like Banbondoi, but I LOVEEEEEEEE. Without a doubt an experience I will always treasure. The staff, the owners are truly some off the most amazing people I've ever met. Low-key getting teary eyed writing this message because they make you feel like family. The work is very chill and you meet so many people. The impact you make will truly touch your heart. The volunteers I met will always have a special part in my heart. The property is like a nature oasis, the atmosphere is so peaceful. Recommend 20/10!

Thank you so much for these incredibly heartfelt words 🤍
Reading your review truly touched us — knowing that Brainstorm became such a special and meaningful experience for you means more than we can say. Creating a place where people feel like family, feel supported, and can make a real impact is exactly why we do what we do.

We’re so grateful for the energy, love, and heart you shared with us, and for the beautiful connections formed with the team and fellow volunteers.
