Atlantis Surf Hostel

We offer an authentic experience in our surf camp for both guests and volunteers staying with us. Our aim is that everyone has a good time while enjoying the beauties of this island in complete respect. We would like to promote the localism in Gran Canaria and show the world's travellers the real experience you can have here and the blast you can have.

Our staff will be handling tasks that also the manager takes care of to break this barrier between both parties. We want everyone to be treated equally and especially our volunteers to learn how to handle a surf hostel and explore as many sectors that it can include. We look for a complete experience, where our staff are closest to the guests and the local area.

Fue una experiencia increíble e inolvidable,conocí personas maravillosas y lugares increíbles.
En primer lugar quiero agradecerles a los dueños del Hostel,Carlos y Elbi por ser unas personas humildes y emprendedoras en su negocio,disfrutar de los materiales de surf,instrumentos musicales. A Alex,encargado y profesor de surf,buena persona,amable siempre ofreciendo su ayuda y amistad!! a todos los compañer@s y huéspedes que me han enseñado mucho de sus países,charlas y risas,a Isabel mánager organizar turnos y horarios.

The hostel is a beautiful antique house. The responsabilities are easy, mostly in the low seasson (summer)
The surfing equipment is really good but you have to know that the beaches close to the hostel are rocky, so you need an advanced level. The terrace is really nice and you meet nice people, it's 5m away from the beach.
The city of las palmas is 30m away and the bus is expensive (2,10 euro each ticket). To go to the supermarket you also need to take a bus. The owners and the manager are nice people!

Terminando mí experiencia en atlantis. Caserón antiguo con una hermosa vibra linda luz y energía. Las tareas son las especificadas solo falta definir bien funciones por turnos para que sean equitativas. Al ser una casa tan grande en tu turno siempre vas a encontrar cosas para hacer, mejorar, limpiar u ordenar. Pude aprovechar a surfear y compartir con huéspedes y otros voluntarios lindos momentos. Son flexibles con días y horarios en referencia a cuestiones personales. Mucha agracias por su hospitalidad! Volvería a hacer voluntariado en este bello lugar a metros del mar.

I had a wonderful time at this Hostel! The location is peaceful, the weather is great, and the tasks (cleaning, check-ins etc.) are easy and fair. You can join in on surf lessons, or walk to the local spots if you are a skilled surfer already! The bus network makes it easy to go to Las Palmas, or explore the rest of the island. Isi was a really helpful manager, and made sure we always felt supported. Carlos and Elba, the owners, were also incredibly kind. Thank you for this opportunity!
