I had a short but very comfortable stay. It was very relaxed with a lot of free time, as there wasn't much to help with. The area is very nice and calm so it's nice to ride around on the bike. Satoshi is a great host, very kind and always makes sure you are comfortable.

This experience was truly amazing, we had the greatest time staying at the Peachhouse, working with Satoshi and Ayako. The work was really interesting and always well explained, while we also enjoyed taking together a lot, learning a lot about Japan and it's people and lifestyle.
We would really recommend doing this experience, it is in a lovely calm area where there is still a lot to explore and great hosts that always made sure we had everything we need.
Definitely would recommend it!

Satoshi and Ayoko are perfect hosts - they are kind, welcoming and incredibly accommodating to your needs. The accommodation is great and each day it was clear about tasks and timings. The work is fair and we worked as a team to complete tasks. They also catered the experience to my specific interests which was super useful. Arigato gozaimasu Satoshi san and Ayoko san :)

Thank you so much for your warm message! We truly enjoyed having you with us. Your help with preparing the plaster materials, installing the window coverings and the new ceiling was incredibly helpful. Your architectural perspective made a huge difference and we feel lucky to have you as part of the team.

We’re also happy you enjoyed exploring the local area. You’re always welcome here! Arigato gozaimashita!

What an incredible experience in the Minami Alps! Satoshi-san is so kind, flexible, and accommodating. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Fuji from the Peach House before/after a day's work! Truly such a beautiful area with such a kind community.

During my stay, I helped prepare materials for the upcoming peach and plum harvest and I also harvested wheat from the Rice House farm. I was able to get hands on experience on the farm and practice my Japanese skills with Satoshi and his family. I would ABSOLUTELY stay again if I have the opportunity.

Carissa, thank you so much for staying with us!
We really appreciated your help in preparing the boxes for the peach shipment. Thanks to your support, we are able to begin the harvest smoothly now. And thank you for your careful and dedicated work for harvesting the wheat and threshing.
Wishing you all the best for the rest of your stay in Japan. I hope we’ll have the chance to meet again someday!

I really liked this WorldPackers experience! Just to clarify what the experience is about, you’ll stay at a house in Minami-Alps known as “Peach House. On the days that you have to work, Mon - Fri from 10 am - about 3 pm unless it’s raining, Satoshi will pick you up from Peach House then drive you to a neighboring town where you’ll work at “and farm” - an Airbnb type of house that has a small farm behind it. Satoshi’s goal is to get people from the city to stay here & learn about farming. I helped with landscaping & did some farming myself! And Satoshi & his family are really nice people! :)

Thank you so much for these past three weeks. Going to pick up all those wood chips together has become such a great memory.
The approach area looks completely transformed thanks to your help. You were also a huge help with threshing the wheat.

Wishing you all the best on your journey. Hope our paths cross again someday!
