Our group trip was switched to Eva's at the last minute and was an upgrade. I really appreciate Eva being able to give us a great trip so last minute. Overall, Loved it! I do wish that there was more organization with a translator or someone to lead us to some of our events with more direction than just Taxi drivers. Other than that, it was a great trip and I would do it again! Thanks, Eva!

This was my 1st WP Epic Trip. I really enjoyed the locals, surf instructors, events, and group! Lots of fun memories! Unfortunately, I felt disappointed by the lack of engagement/leadership of the host, Eva. She was not physically present most of the time, even when there was a small electrical fire at the hotel. She communicated mostly via WhatsApp. Sometimes this lead to mixups with taxis or misunderstandings about events/costs and resulted in us paying more than planned. I hope it was unusual given her other high reviews. I recommend proactive communication to those thinking of staying here

I joined the epic surf trip in Manuel Antonio, the surf camp to spend the surf camp improving my surfing, meeting people and exploring the area. We had an amazing group of people what made it a good trip and we did lots of fun activities! However, I would not recommend this trip to others the way it was carried out when I went. Communication before and during the trip about the dates of the trip, the cost of extra activities and what is and is not included was not clear. Some things including the sunset surf photoshoot did not happen. Also be aware that the daily surflessons are only 30 minutes.

I love the surf camp and this was not my first time visiting however, this was my first time traveling with World Packers. I understand complications may happen but I do feel the host didn't quite take initiative to make everyone feel safe throughout the experience when chaos or miscommunication occurred. The food was great and the activities were fun! Before traveling with World Packers I would double check how and who you may need to contact for emergencies. Just to clarify, I thought Marylou was great and very helpful and took a lot of responsibility for where the host fell short.

There was a significant lack of communication from Eva, which led a lot of people on the trip including me to spend more time and money than they we had planned. The lack of organization was almost frustrating. MaryLou, (our trip coordinator) made everything so much easier for everyone. Wherever there was issues or miscommunication, Marylou was more than happy to help! Will definitely return to the surf camp but not with the same host.

Lots of fun to meet others and get a lot of different experiences in the surf camp! The turtles were great but also not a guarantee based on season and day to day. Loved getting plenty of time to connect with others and experience so much together!

I had a great time. It was my first group trip and first international solo trip so definitely set the bar for the next ones I take. Hotel was comfortable and activities were so fun. The l my problem I found was that were were being sent to places without a guide and without truly knowing where we were going. It was an adventure but could've been set up to be more secure.
