Gilang and the team at the reserve are so amazing. Truly make you feel welcome, and eager to share their passion for the underwater world. Such a beautiful project and I wish I could've stayed there longer! So grateful to have been able to experience this :)

The reserve trip with Worldpackers was incredible! The dive instructor was so patient—I found my confidence fast, even after a shaky start. The Sanctum Dive and the reserve teams were super friendly and even took us exploring on their days off. The rooms were spacious and comfy, and the pool was a great bonus. I loved learning marine ecology—it made every dive more meaningful. Coral conservation and manta ID dives were my favorite. Highly recommend if you want to dive, learn fast, and help the planet!

Had a lot of fun with the group I travelled with. Really cool to learn about the marine life and how to care and protect it. Some of the details could have been better planned and communicated but overall was a great trip 😊

My time with the reserve changed me in ways I'm still processing. Being so close to the sea shifted something in my body and in the way I move through the world. It opened up a relationship with the ocean that feels less like knowledge and more like devotion, almost a quiet promise to live with more care for the planet that holds us. Hosting my first group trip with Worldpackers there felt like stepping into a new season of leadership, learning as much from the water as from the people beside me. If you feel pulled toward marine conservation or want to earn your open water certificate, this is a

My experience was nothing short of incredible. I gained a deep understanding of marine life and conservation—far more than I ever expected. The insights into the marine ecosystem were eye-opening and truly enriching. The team at Sanctum Dive, led by an exceptional host, took outstanding care of me throughout. Diving alongside manta rays, turtles, and a vibrant array of marine creatures was unforgettable. Learning how to photograph underwater life and collect data added a whole new layer of appreciation to the journey. To top it all off i earned my rescue dive cert during g my days off.

Had a fantastic week with EcoHero—everything from the program to the facilities was great and as described. I think it provided a fantastic introduction into the field of marine conservation with some really fun diving of course! Last but not least, I can't say enough good things about the staff, especially Faiz and Wildan. They really went out of their way every day to make sure we all had a great and comfortable experience. <3

I felt so welcomed by Gilang, Tabitha and the rest of the team. They were supportive of the fact I was new to diving, having completed the open water certification days before I started the EcoHero program. It was a great introduction to marine ecology, we did some manta and turtle identification, surveys on fish that indicate reef health, coral restoration and surveys. It was interesting and so wonderful to see what work is being done to combat the effect of the climate crisis. My accommodation was great and I could always go hang out at the dive centre if I needed company. Thank you so much!

Had an amazing time at the reserve! From the first day everyone was very welcoming and very kind. I have learned so much about marine species, data collecting, and the importance of marine conservation and environmental awareness on land. Its a great beginner friendly way to grow your knowledge and interest. Also I became a more skilled diver and made a lot of new international and local friends :)
