The hostel is an incredible place to volunteer and stay at. The facilities are incredible and the work to be done it's pretty much easy and it's all related to social events where you either have to be the soul of the party or assist in the bar, so be ready to be as extroverted as possible as you will need it here. The work hours were always respected and you get the shift schedule every Sunday. Tomas is a really good manager who will help you with anything and the communication it's always great.

This was my first volunteer experience and it couldn't have been better! It was such a fun experience, everyone was so much fun to work with, it is much below the amount of hours stated so lots of time to explore!! I'll be back for sure :)

Volunteering at the hostel was an amazing experience. The shifts were easy (mostly fun, social activities) and the agreed hours were respected. I had plenty of time to explore Porto and other cities in Portugal. the hostel has a great location and offers spacious common areas. You will meet many travellers from all over the world and the other volunteers and staff were all really nice.🫶 I would definitely recommend this experience!!

The hostel is a great hostel with great people! Most of the shifts are social based (social walks, taking guests out to nearby spots/bars, karaoke, etc), with potentially 1-2 breakfast or dinner shifts per week. the hostel is directly in the Sao Bento train station, making it a very unique location. It was also easy to take day trips from Porto to nearby areas such as Aveiro or Douro Valley. I would recommend this experience if you want to meet new people and explore Porto!

It's an amazing experience if you want to know people all over the world and learn how to share space with respect and live in your indipendence. Having a place to stay while you travel is a big opportunity and when you find people Who treat you as a member of the family is amazing .

Mi experiencia en The passanger hostel fue increíble, me senti como en casa desde que llegue, Tomas y el resto del staff son personas hermosas con buena energía, dispuestas a ayudar y crear el mejor ambiente para todos. Las actividades son super divertidas y no se siente como trabajo, me llevo recuerdos increíbles, sin duda la mejor experiencia de voluntariado que tuve y super recomendada para practicar ingles, crear conexiónes y conocer la hermosa ciudad de Porto.

The hostel was my first volounteering experience and I couldn't have wished for a better one. The manager Tomas and the other staff members are nice, welcoming and fun people, if you're open to new experiences and people you will really feel part of a group there. The work Is mostly really light social shifts that are fun and don't really feel like work. The hours are fair, often less than 25 per week, specific days off can be arranged easily. the hostel Is big, with beautiful and unique common areas where you can have quiet time if you need it. Go there for an authentic stay in Porto❤

I had an amazing experience volunteering at the hostel. From day one, the other volunteers, receptionists, and Tomas made me feel comfortable and welcome. Every week, a new schedule was sent with varied shifts that ranged from leading sunset walks, helping with breakfast/family dinner, hosting karaoke, participating in bar tours, and more! Because there was so much variety in the "work" assigned, there was always something fun going on! Tomas is also respectful of your time and will be flexible if you need to request a specific day off. I would highly recommend this experience!

I stayed for 5 weeks and I really loved it! It was the perfect place for my first volunteering experience. We were a really great group of volunteers and it immediately felt like home. In this place you're never going to have a boring time. There is always something to do, like doing daytrips with the other volunteers or joining the hostels activities.The working hours were always fair and enjoyable.
