Volunteering at the lodge cooking was wonderful! The two weeks helping Kris in the restaurant were full of joy, doing easy tasks and meeting lots of travellers while trying his delicious food everyday. Kris is a super kind and flexible person, we had a great time. Thanks for everything!

I really enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of waves and waking up with the sunrise, it is the perfect place to relax and reset. i volunteered in the restaurant nanu which was a fun experience, really nice people and atmosphere. the food there is amazing, it's a set menu which changes every day so the food is super fresh and cooked with love. i highly recommend eating here, for me it was the best food i ate in chacahua, and a fun kitchen to volunteer in! many thanks for the opportunity

Overal great experience. Iris and Kris are lovely people and I had great time staying at their magical place, which is right at the beach. You could find ways to socialise, but I would say this place is better to rest and unwind. You can help Iris with the cabañas, which is what I did, or you can help Kris in their restaurant. The communication was great, Kris is fast to respond and ready to help. You can get there by public transport, there is a shop and several restaurants in nearby village. Just bring enough cash. It is also a good place to surf. Volunteers stay in tents with comfy mattress

Fue un placer para mí el haber compartido tiempo y espacio en Chacahua apoyando a Iris y Kris en su proyecto, el lugar es muy tranquilo, se puede contemplar amaneceres y atardeceres hermosos, el unico sonido es el oleaje del mar, la gente del pueblo es amable, sin duda regresaría nuevamente, las actividades y horarios son tranquilas y flexibles. Agradezco a Iris y Kris por su hospitalidad y el buen recibimiento, recomiendo al 100% el lugar, si buscas tranquilidad y paz mental, tienes que visitarlo! Su servicio de restaurante "Nanu" es una delicia, excelente atención por parte de Kris!

El alojamiento es un lugar mágico, del que no me quería ir! Cada espacio es especial, donde se encuentra la tranquilidad y la conexión con la naturaleza! Iris y kris son un amor de personas, que siempre están pendientes de los voluntarios siendo flexibles para que la estadía en el alojamiento sea genial. Estoy agradecida de haber vivido esta experiencia y sin duda lo recomiendo! Es un lugar mágico en el paraíso de Chacahua !

Incredible experience in Chacahua! Especially at the Nanu restaurant where I was able to work as a volunteer. The team was superb and the food was great! Great encounters made, Chachahua will remain for me an intense experience, where people connect very quickly, the place is truly magical!! Chacahua is a magical place, and volunteering there is a great way to connect with travelers. However, at the time, the lodge was still recovering from the hurricane, so the work was very heavy and physically demanding, sometimes exhausting. Kris was flexible and supportive, which I appreciated. The sleeping accommodations were not in good condition and quite crowded, and there was no comfortable space to work or relax .I truly value the community we built, but overall, the environment and volunteer conditions could be improved.

Chacahua es un lugar mágico, me enamore del lugar y me termine quedando más de lo planeado, en la casa tienes vistas hermosas todo el tiempo, las instalaciones son muy cómodas, la playa esta a unos pasos de tu cama, tienen un espacio hermoso para meditación y yoga, está retirado pero no muy lejos del pueblo por lo que es una zona bastante tranquila, el trabajo no es pesado y hay mucha flexibilidad respecto a horarios y de más, más que horas de trabajo son tareas y descansas un día a la semana,muchísimas gracias Iris y Kris por recibirmeen su hogar 🤍
