The relationship was very good. I had more contact with Antonella, who was the person who rented the boat. Mark was present and asked if we needed anything whenever possible. The work is hard and rewarding. I worked with things I enjoyed, always by choice, and for that I feel grateful to everyone who participated in this experience. I made many friends and practiced my English and Spanish a lot, since Antonella is Argentinian.

My time here was amazing. Mark is a wonderful person, and I really enjoyed the whole experience of living and working on a boat. Amsterdam is an incredible city that everyone should visit at least once. Antonella is extraordinary — such a big heart, and truly one of the kindest, most uplifting people I've ever met. I hope I can come back to Amsterdam soon to see this awesome project finished!

Such an amazing experience! It was been a pleasure working with Mark on the boat, it was my first World Packers gig and Mark's been amazing and so helpful! Highly reccomend this experience to anyone staying in Amsterdam!

I had a great time on board with the other volunteers, and the work was good too. Mark is a good guy, but sometimes he doesn't know what he wants. This makes working for him difficult. Otherwise, I had a lot of fun and learnd a lot, so thanks for the experience.

Staying at the boat was a nice experience, definitely not a relaxing job but I think if you want to stay in Amsterdam a bit, and save some money it can be a good comprimise. Mark is a nice guy, always available and gentle. I had a funny experience with the other volunteers, so if you are not an anxious person who can share common spaces, I recommend it!

My stay at the boat was great. Mark was always attentive to our needs so we all felt comfortable. It should be noted that the work being done is heavy and manual. The company of the other volunteers makes the work less burdensome; the hours can even be flexible at times. At the end of the day, you can swim in the river or explore the city. I had a great experience on my 3 week visit building furniture! The host Mark is a great guy, little busy but always ready to help. Everything I needed was provided to me from tools to a washing machine. Communication was clear, and I had no troubles during my stay. Workdays were long and physical, but with the right attitude quite fine. We also had a say in our working times. Mark isn't the strictest guy when it comes to safety, but I got all the gear I asked for and wasn't pressured to do anything I didn't feel safe doing. I had an amazing visit, and recommend this to anyone hardworking.

My stay at the boat was shorter than the arrangement (2 days instead of the 3 weeks). I left earlier because of the difference in the expectations I had when starting versus what the volunteering entailed. The work was quite physically demanding which is what I expected but the lack of safety and assistance was something I think could be improved on for future volunteers. The hours and the actual accommodation description was also something that differed which contributed to me ultimately leaving. I hope Mark and the boat the best
