My partner and I had really good experience with David at the host. David taught us some really cool island skills, like fishing with a net, chopping coconuts... like he said, that life is not for everyone. It's important you know how to live basic with no 'luxory' needs. We love it absolutely. Thank you David for being such a good host

Great place to experience authentic local life! Work hours are solid and fixed, and there's always something to do :) Awesome to connect with nature and embrace a local lifestyle as well as hanging out with the amazing fun dogs. This is a very chill, laidback experience and you can meet lots of amazing people

Surely a experience must try in your life, it's not easy if you don't have the right company you must be adapt for not comfort issues, but David it's super amazing person

I want to make it clear, the rugged lifestyle was not the issue. We were not helped by David even though we were the only two there at the time which made it so we had to work longer hours than agreed upon. We left early for that reason, and because of some hygiene issues. The dogs have fleas and I ended up getting a tick and had to see a doctor. The location is great and it would've been a fun experience but that unfortunately didn't happen for us. Contact me if you need more info

Had a really fun time volunteering at the host. Super chill atmosphere, the work is good, and David is the best, an amazing host. The dogs are adorable ! The place is a bit rustic, but you get used to it really quickly. Would definitely recommend!

Even though i spend only 5 days here, it was such a great experience! David is a very funny host but also gives you great life advices. You get to learn malaysian cooking skills as well as how to open coconuts :) I would recomment this place to everybody that can handle basic life, means sometimes no electricity, internet, etc.. If you apply: Have fun and especially enjoy!!

I had a great time at David's camp site, enjoyed the nature and local way of life. David is full of experiences and wisdom, talking to him was very interesting, would have liked to spend more time with him, the dogs are very friendly and adopt you as part of the family, a frat experience to be in nature and see the jungle next to the beach. Recommend if you want to experience a natural lifestyle. Thanks David to share your time and place!
