Much recommanded experience. I stayed for 3 weeks and main Tasks were taking care of the House, plants, dogs, cleaning, preparing for the kayak Tours and joining them. As well as some other tasks based on what was needed at the time. Everyone is realy Kind and they will Show you a Lot of different food as well as Share there Knowledge about Malaysia, Mangroves, Culture and much more. Be aware that if AiVee is gone you will be alone at the House for some amount of time. So you should be Fine with beeing on your own. Its the best Place for relaxing and watching Wildlife. So enjoy!

The volunteering was an unforgettable experience! The place is truly unique — a the lodge surrounded by nature. The tasks were simple including cleaning, preparing for the kayak tours and tidying up afterwards. I also had the chance to join most of the tours, which was amazing — I learned so much about the mangroves and their importance to the local ecosystem. AiVee was an amazing host — super kind, welcoming, and always happy to share stories about the local culture, land, and people. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves nature and great company.

The place is amazing and the team too. Aivee became a friend, I learned a lot from her space and her excursions. It's really interesting. I highly recommend it and I'm going back, since due to work issues I had to leave volunteering a week before. Highly recommended!

It's a really nice place,I stayed here for 4 weeks. I learned a lot from here,when we have free time,Aivee and Chen would take me out eat,hang out at the beach or go to other places,and they would also explain things to me-what they were and why.Aivee is very careful,serious and kind and Chen is very enthusiastic and kind too,Art gave me a marathon T-shirt,Vincent teach me how to fishing and Ramon,Amin…Everyone is really nice.During I stay here,I also have time off,I went to KL. To sum up, life of the lodge is busy and fulfilling.If I get the chance,I'll come again next time. Strongly recommend

Very peaceful the lodge. The host, Aivee, is not only kind but also has a great sense of humor. Your responsibilities will include basic house chores, along with additional tasks that align with your skills. If you're interested, you can follow along on kayaking tours. Occasionally, Aivee will travel to Kuala Lumpur for a few days, giving you the opportunity to take charge of the house during that time. Overall, it was a truly relaxing experience, allowing you to connect with nature and learn about the local culture.

This was amazing experience I loved going on the kayaking tours and getting to see so much of the wild life highly recommend anyone to stay here! AiVee is very kind and friendly and generous and amazing staff ! Kind enough to drive me to the airport too and to show me around different local peoples homes and traditions.

Very peaceful, nature retreat vibes at the lodge. I had a good time hanging out with Aivee and a local worker Chen. We would often cook together or take turns cooking. They taught me a lot about Chinese culture. Work hours are respected and Aivee was flexible. Easy work, though at times tedious. I helped scrub the whole house down + daily chores if there were no kayak tours. WiFi is limited, I recommend downloading movies and bringing whatever you need for your hobbies. I felt safe staying overnight alone. Aivee made sure I had everything I needed, including emergency phone #s.

My first volunteer experience wasn't really good because the host wasn't welcoming, contrary to what I'd seen from other volunteers. I had to leave early, not on time. The only thing I enjoyed during that time was the dogs, nothing more.

It is untrue that he was not welcomed. I took him to a Dragon Fruit farm to taste fresh fruit, a famous Halal restaurant, and a supermarket to choose his own food to cook. He lacked empathy regarding my absence for a family funeral. Furthermore, his work attitude was poor and projected a bad image to our guests. I cannot recommend a volunteer who receives such hospitality but refuses to work and is ungrateful.
