I loved the lodge. We spent all day at the beach surfing! The locals and digital nomads are super nice. I enjoyed learning how to make cocktails and learning more about malay culture. Work was very down to earth. Here is what our schedule looked like: Friday & Saturday: 8pm-1am Sunday, Monday & Thursday: 7pm-12am Tuesday & Wednesday: days off

I had a great time volunteering in the lodge. Hours and tasks are as listed. It's a super chill place. On slow days all tasks can be done quickly so the rest of the time we spend playing card games or playing with Shah's adorable son. We had so much fun on the busier days too talking to locals and tourist and being a part of the party. the lodge is a great place for surfing both for beginners and advanced especially in monsoon season. The town has a great and welcoming atmosphere. Remember to bring plenty of cash, since cards aren't accepted most places and the nearest ATM is 10km.

Volunteering at Shah's bar in the lodge was such a beautiful experience 🌴 ! The place is right by the beach, working hours are totally respected, and we had so much free time to explore, relax, or surf free surfboards included🏄🏽‍♀️.The tasks are easy and super fun, especially making cocktails and chatting with people from all around the world.Locals and regulars were incredibly friendly we built real friendships! Shah is an amazing, kind and caring host who truly looks after his volunteers. And the local food... just incredible . Pure good vibes only! We'll definitely gonna come back again❤

I had a really good experience volunteering at the Surf Café. During all my stay, I was the only volunteer there but I really felt welcomed and taken care of. The work was super chill since I went during low season and the working hours were between 5/7 and 10/12pm so I had all day to do my own things. In addition, the locals were very welcomming and friendly and I feel grateful to have been part of this great community for a few weeks !

Beautiful place and city, everybody there contributes to make you fell part of the community. Daniel it's super friendly and always available in case of help, nice bar with a beautiful environment, absolutely recommend

Volunteering in the lodge was such a fun experience. It was a very chill vibe and was a very chilled work environment. Sha was such a welcoming host who always made us feel safe. All the locals were very friendly and always made me feel like I was welcomed!

Loved the lodge so much and volunteering in the surf Café was fun and a great way to meet new people and it was very chill. There is also free surf boards to borrow. Most days we got to choose the takeaway we wanted which was very good. The room is in a very good location close to the beach and I shared it with another volunteer. The only downside is the room because some bugs made holes in my shirt

I really enjoyed my time volunteering at the lodge. Work was easy and working hours gave me free time during day to do my things. Host was friendly and helpfull if I needed any help. Would recomend this experience. ☺️
