Toshi and Fu are the sweetest hosts ever! It was so much fun working with them and the other volunteers! Aoshima is gorgeous and will always hold a special place in my heart. The work was easy and we got our tasks done pretty fast as we all worked hard together.

My first volunteering experience couldn't be better. All jobs are simple and easy to perform. Toshi-san and Foo-san are amazing people, open minded and easygoing people. The whole time is that I had some doubts or something like that, they helped me a lot. My daily life was basically cleaning from 10am to 11:30am, then surfing and having fun with the other volunteers. Good experience for those who want to chill, practice Japanese conversation and surf.

I had a amazing time in the guest house Hostel and met many amazing people who will stay in my heart! Toshi and Foo are the best hostes ever and they always brought good energy. Even when we did something wrong they always communicated in a friendly way with us. Also the work was very easy so we had lots of free time! And I had the opportunity to surf for the first time, so whenever the waves where good we could always get surf equipment and walk to the beach. Aoshima itself is an amazing place and I understand why people call it the Hawaii of Japan. Thank you for everything, hope to see you again;D

I loved my stay in Miyazaki, way better than expected, specially because I learn about it after finding this volunteering experience. The owners and my fellow staff were awesome, plus the tasks are very easy, usually 2 hours of work per day and then you are free to explore the region and all its nature. In my case (as I'm not a surfer) I usually took one of the bikes the guest house provided and went exploring for hours. Sadly, during my stay, everyone was busy to give me surfing lessons but is understandable.

Toshisan and Fuhchan were amazing hosts! They took me in kindly and the people there were so welcoming and just nice too. Work was just as agreed on and all of the 4 locations were great and absolutely doable in time and effort. In my freetime it was easy to go to Miyazaki city or even Fukuoak but almost every day you can take a walk at the beautiful beach of Aoshima. Toshisan even took me surfing for the first time. It was an unforgettable experience and for me my first time with worldpacker. Definitely recommend this Place. Thank you for everything :)

⭐⭐ I Loved my stay here⭐⭐ *Important not:n Prepare cash ahead of time. I used to live in a small town and coming to Aoshima was a "Home away from Home." If you want to experience city life, then Miyazaki is a 30 minute train ride away. But Aoshima provides a relaxing vibe. Espically since the beach is a 2 minute walk away. You can always go surfing, hiking or visit the Aoshima Shrine. Toshisan- was a great host to have. Was very attentive if I need help with anything. Housekeeping was quite self-explanatory and we would finish in about 2 hours or less. 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛

I had a great time in Aoshima! I loved going surfing and fishing during the daytime. There were also plenty of great restaurants around to eat at. The local supermarket and 7/11 were also convenient. Toshi san kindly gave us the opportunity to improve our Japanese by working on the reception during the evenings. I also enjoyed talking to him and his wife Foo. I felt very welcomed! Staff accomodation is in a nearby building in rooms with bunkbeds and a shared kitchen, bathroom and lounge which sometimes guests use as well. The other staff were nice and I'd like to go back!
