Fue mi primer experiencia como voluntaria y no podría haber elegido mejor. Pude aprender mucho sobre cafetería ya que era mi primera vez trabajando en un brunch, Ana & Cleiton hicieron que la experiencia fuera muy divertida! Portimão es una ciudad hermosa y muy tranquila, cerca de distintas ciudades y playas increíbles. En el verano suele haber muchos festejos por lo que pude sumergirme en la cultura local. Conocí personas increíbles que hicieron de este voluntariado una experiencia única. Obrigado familia el hostel <3

This was my first volunteering experience, and I absolutely loved my time at the hostel – I couldn't recommend it more! Anna, her dad, and all the permanent staff are just so lovely – you really feel like part of the team. The work was well-balanced, the hours were good, and I genuinely enjoyed the job. Anna always kept us in the loop about local events, gave great recommendations, and even took us along to some really fun activities in nearby towns. I would go back in a heartbeat. The other girls I volunteered with quickly became like family, which made the experience even more special <3

No hay palabras para describir lo bien que lo pase haha Ana es la mejor! Desde el momento uno ella y el equipo me hicieron sentir bienvenida! Estoy muy feliz de haber tenido la oportunidad de ser una más del equipo. Las tareas son sencillas y Ana siempre está ahí para ayudarte con lo que necesites y guiarte. Mayormente estyve ayudando con la reparación y haciendo un poco contenido para redes sociales. Las instalaciones son practicamente nuevas, los voluntarios tenemos baño y cocina privada. Muchas gracias! Recomiendo el hostel 100%!

I stayed at the hostel & restaurant for 4 weeks. I had an amazing time. Ana helped me alot and is very fun. The hours and work is fair. Because i was there in the low season it was a bit too quite for me but the coworkers are very kind! The place is 45 min from the beach and 1 min from the centrum.

I had a wonderful time at the hostel! It was such a great experience especially being hands-on in the restaurant and getting to learn more about Portuguese culture! Hours were fair and explained and allowed for much time to explore Portimão and surrounding areas as well! I recommend this stay to other volunteers and hope to visit again!

I had an amazing time at the hostel! You get a bed in a shared dorm with up to 6 other volunteers, with your own kitchen and bathroom, and you get given breakfast food to make yourself, and every morning you get lunch and dinner and can eat it whenever you like, and the food was amazing! All the permanant staff are friendly and kind, and the work is very easy to pick up. Portimao is a great city to explore the algarve, and you can do overnight trips on your days off. I made amazing friends with the other volunteers and had the best time :) Thank you Anna and Cleiton (and everyone else) :) xx

I had such an amazing time at the hostel!! :)) The communication with Ana was great, hours as agreed and the work not too difficult. The restaurant was quite calm because of low season. The other staff was absolutely lovely. I am now certified to give weather reports in full Portugese thanks to Cleiton and Carla haha :) The volunteers had their own kitchen, showers and toilet which was amazing. Carla's food is delicious and will be severly missed. There was enough free time to explore the Algarve with all the volunteers. We were even lucky enough to be there for Ana's birthday!! Obrigada! :)

My time here was amazing, Ana is a great host, she is always there if we needed anything. The job is fun and when the restaurant wasn't busy they would let me leave my shift early. The food was great, Carla is a great chef, me and the other volunteers always had plenty of food and Ana asked everyone when they got there if they had any dietary restrictions which I thought was very considerate. Volunteers had our own room with bunkbeds, private kitchen separate from the guests one, and our own bathroom with two showers and plenty of storage in there and in the bedroom, it was an ideal place.

I had such a lovely time volunteering here! Ana was incredibly helpful and accommodating, making me feel welcome from the start. The restaurant staff, including Scarlett, were amazing to work with—kind, friendly, and so helpful. The work was easy and enjoyable, and the restaurant and Hostel itself is a hidden gem in Portomaio—so beautifully designed and inviting. I'm truly grateful for this experience and the volunteers I met along the way. I highly recommend! Hope to see everyone again sometime in the future <3

With this being my 1st WP experience, I truly loved it. The work in the restaurant was easy and Scarlet was amazing. We were given meals daily which was nice to have the option. I want to thank Ana and her father for the hospitality. I felt welcomed and would definitely love to come back!
