The guest house is a beautiful and peaceful place. I'm really grateful to Struan and Isla for welcoming me. They were kind and always respectful of my space. I truly appreciated the meaningful moments we shared. I'd recommend this experience to anyone looking for a relaxing and mindful stay in the countryside.

It's impossible to put into words how grateful we are for Struan and Isla's warm welcome. We only spent two weeks in Rhynie, and we already wish we could return for a longer period to repay their kindness with a proper long-term project. We had a lot of flexibility in every possible way. We had fruitful and meaningful conversations, as well as nice trips in the area. the guest house was a perfect hideaway in this mad world for this very short time.

Struan and Isla are the most incredible people and hosts! Hands down the best worldpackers experience I've had so far. They truly go above and beyond for their guests! Rhynie is gorgeous and has great walks and hikes and the garden/property is equally lovely. I seriously cannot recommend this experience enough and would go back in a heartbeat. ❤️

I felt comfortable and welcome — every task was done with love and good vibes. The garden and the veggie patch? Just amazing! 🌿✨ The cultural exchange was awesome — we even made feijoada! 🇧🇷 Struan and his family really get what volunteering is all about: sharing, learning, and enjoying the experience. Can't wait to go back! Wish I had more time do help build the greenhouse. Next time, for sure!

The experience was very enriching. We talked several times about different topics. Struan and Isla are very welcoming people and know how to lead a relaxed and balanced life. They welcomed us with open arms, and I'm very grateful for the moments they helped me through some unexpected situations I faced. The tasks are simple, and you can organize your schedule, which was great because my wife and I work remotely. It's a place I recommend to anyone because the connection with nature is wonderful. I spent three unforgettable months volunteering at the guest house and honestly, the time flew by. The views were absolutely stunning, and the work was always fair and flexible. Struan and Isla are truly two of the most wonderful people I've ever met. Kind, generous and incredibly welcoming, they made me feel at home from the very beginning. On weekends, Struan often took us to visit beautiful spots nearby, which made the experience even richer. I'm grateful for the time I spent there and for the opportunity to help in their lovely garden. I deeply recommend this place!

Struan and Isla are two of the kindest, warmest people I have met. Staying with them at the guest house was an absolute pleasure. I stayed in a glamping tent and it was very comfortable fit with a fireplace and plenty of blankets. I would just recommend bringing an eye mask and earplugs to block out morning light & birds. The work is very fair, you can choose the hours you work and your tasks and then the rest of the day is yours. On weekends, Struan would kindly take us to see various attractions. I loved my time here and am very happy to chat more about it with prospective volunteers.
