The staff was overall so nice and accommodating. It's hard work as expected for working in a the guest house however was so much fun and it was amazing getting to meet the locals. I learned so much while being there especially from Nathan the manager and made incredible friends among the staff.

It's really worth it, the mountains and hikes are beautiful! The working environment is really chill, everybody is so nice and we felt really welcomed here. The tasks are various from kitchen hand to waitressing and sometimes helping behind the guest house. We really enjoyed our stay here.

John is very polite, patient and fun. I had unforgettable moments at the guest house with everyone who works there. And then we have 3 days off during the week that you can explore the Blue Mountain area a lot. If I have another opportunity, I will definitely work there again.

We have loved staying here, the hosts have looked after us so well and treated us like family. There have been so many different opportunities to develop skills and the work load is manageable and you're guaranteed to have at least three days free to explore the local area and mountains which are beautiful. There is also a good train line with connections to Sydney so easy to get out and about to explore further. Our time here has really made us feel like we have a home away from home

Most amazing world packer experience! Liarna and John are amazing hosts and managers. The work is fun, a cosy and busy the guest house with an amazing view and lovely team. I had the opportunity to work and socialise with other volunteers too. Food and accommodation is lovely. Location is amazing, you can explore so much of the blue mountains on your days off. Really wish I could have stayed longer, would love to go back! Thank you so much☺️

This the guest house in Katoomba has a great location and stunning views, but be careful. I worked there for 2 months, and while the room was decent, the job is essentially full-time and unpaid. I was left alone to serve hundreds of customers despite no experience or fluent English, making it incredibly stressful. Management shows no care for you outside of shifts, and the "free dinner" is only on working days—often terrible, once causing me food poisoning. The experience was isolating and frustrating. Avoid this place if you can. Reach out for more details. Safe travels and enjoy Australia just not here

We’re surprised by your review, as no concerns were raised during your two-month stay, you spoke positively when asked.
All hours were within the agreed limits, and any extra were optional and paid. Meals were provided on working days, and no food issues were reported by others. If concerns had been raised, we would have addressed them.
