I loved everything about the hostel! I was working at the reception and honestly never felt like work, everything was so enjoyable and easygoing. -Even during my free time I found myself wanting to help the hostel:) You have plenty of free time which is perfect for exploring the lovely island of Flores. Nelson is an amazing host so kind-hearted, thoughtful, chill and fun! I'm really happy I got to meet him!! Dennilson is also wonderful, always helpful with everything. The other volunteers were all super sweet as well! I'd absolutely love to come back someday!!!

My time at the hostel has truly been wonderful. You guys made me feel at home, feeling to appreciative and warm. I've made friends, got to experience Flores and around and found a place to ground and center myself. Thank you for everything! I will definitely remember this place forever and cherish this memory<3

The hostel is an amazing place to volunteer! The love that's been put into the place is obvious from the second you arrive. The team is amazing, the garden is beautiful and the vibes are super cosy. The work is easy and they're also flexible so you can go on tours. For me, the thing that makes this place so special is the team! Nelson is so friendly and helpful to everyone he meets. Dennilson is so hard working and i always had great chats with on reception. Mauricio, I loved practicing Spanish with! Thank you so much for making Flores feel like a second home 🫶

Volunteering at the hostel was my first volunteering experience ever and I could not have asked for a better place to do it. The whole team felt like a big family and were super kind, welcoming und just fun to be with. Nelson is one of the funniest, most open and inspiring people I've met and an amazing host. He was always available for questions and new ideas and made you not feel alone with whatever you're doing. So if you wanna experience working at a really cute hostel surrounded by a super nice small town by a lake, do it here! Plus they have an amazing hostel cat.

This place is a piece of Heaven! I had a wonderful experience here, came with the intention of reconnecting with myself and nature, and I'm super grateful for this! Time goes by so fast, I didn't want to leave ! Nelson is such a beautiful soul always available to help and making my stay even more wonderful. You get space for you, groceries and restaurants near, jungle and dock, what else can you ask for! Thank you so much Nelson for giving me this chance.

My experience at the hostel was one of the best I could have had. It's a place where you truly feel at home, warmly welcomed by friendly and kind people. The space is super cozy, and if you're looking for a calm, peaceful place with a family vibe, the hostel is the perfect spot for you. I had an amazing time during the four weeks I stayed there. The work is very relaxed, the hours are respected, and everything is flexible and clearly agreed upon. I'm very grateful for this experience, and without a doubt, it's a place where I'd love to stay even longer. Thank you so much for having me, the hostel family!

The warm welcome from the entire team and the great support I received throughout my work made all the difference. Every single person on the team was respectful, patient, humorous, and empathetic. The atmosphere is calm and family-like, and the place is designed with such care and attention to detail that I was able to express my creativity and contribute freely. I had a wonderful time with Nelson and the rest of the volunteers and employees at the hostel! The work was very doable, manning reception was never boring as there was always something else to do, such as craft projects, helping with making breakfast, chatting with guests, cleaning up and doing some laundry, bartending at a wonderful open mic event, etc. On top of that, Flores is a beautiful place to stay, with lots of cute cafes, places to swim, and people to meet. In the days off we had enough times to go on tours such as the hostel. Highly recommend, thank you so much and best of luck :)
