My stay here was amazing! This was the first place at which I ever volunteered and I felt truly comfortable and welcomed by Sam and his family. The working hours are well-structured, and having two days off in a row is a great bonus. I mainly worked in animal care, which I found really interesting—every day felt unique because of the animals! The other volunteers were also wonderful, and I'm so grateful to have met them. Thank you for such a great experience!

I can only recommend this place. The fact that I came back for a second time says it all. The work hours are respected, everyone is kind and respectful, and working with animals is both fulfilling and fun. There's so much to do in the area, and with two free days, you can easily explore all of the farm.

Una experiencia increíble. Center la granja es un lugar en el que conectarás sin duda con los animales. Las tareas son variadas; desde alimentar y cuidar los animales hasta construir sus propias casas y otros proyectos. La comida es variada y muy rica 🥗, la ubicación es excelente así que podrás estar cerca a la playa 🏖️ y otros lugares interesantes ⛰️ Me llevo grandes aprendizajes, amigos y una gran experiencia. The farm was a lovely first time volunteering experience :). Sam and his family were wonderful hosts and were always there if you had a question or needed something. Working with the animals was a pleasure for me, though it can be demanding (especially in the rain), but generally the work is very simple. Public transportation in the area is hard, but nothing a cheap uber can't fix. There are nice hikes nearby and lots to explore throughout the farm. They provide a filling lunch every day for all the volunteers and groceries for breakfast. I definitely recommend!

I had a great time at the farm! The work wasn't too hard, and I got to do different things every day, so it was always interesting. Working with the animals was such a nice experience, they're all so fun to be around :) I also had the chance to explore nearby cities, visit the beach, and go on some hikes. The food and accommodation were both really good, I would definitely recommend it!

I really enjoyed working with the animals, cleaning and feeding them, building their "habitats", and enjoying the personality of each one. The facilities were very comfortable! And Sam is a great host, very careful and fair and at the same time very flexible. So I thank Sam and his family for all the attention and offering this opportunity to travelers. There are not many buses to get to the "more touristy" attractions but Uber is cheap and helps you get closer to a bus or train station. we enjoyed climbing the small nearby mountains on foot, or going to the beach on Tavira's island in Uber.

My first and probably the best experience in worldpacker! Sam and his family are really nice people, they really care about make everyone feel good and the place is amazing : nice pool, chill environment during the winter, people always smile there! I really enjoy spend time there and walk around this place like the mountains ( amazing view and nice cardio exercise) The room is really nice, food also, and I recommend all the fruits tree! I already miss the fresh orange and all the pets 🥲 I hope I would not be to busy this summer for coming back!

El voluntariado se siente más como un trabajo (el anfitrión lo expresa así) no se siente el espíritu de voluntario ya que no explican cosas importantes, quieres aprender y el anfitrión no sabe nada, raras veces se aparece, habla con vocabulario vulgar. La cocina para los voluntarios tiene ratas, te recomiendan cerrar las puertas pero no funcionan, muchos voluntarios prefieren no calificar y no poner un comentario realista para que el anfitrión no los califique mal, las instalaciones para dormir están bien, trabajamos increíble a pesar de todo y agradecemos la estancia pero no la repetiríamos.

Our time with Karen and the rest of the volunteers was a complicated one. I had just recently returned to my roll as manager after becoming a father and trying to manage everything at times got complicated but I thought that the group understood my situation. On the other hand we did have falling out at time over the situation of the volunteers kitchen because after various precautions and aid they still managed to keep the kitchen in such a unhygienic state it was disrespectful and hurtful.

Como pareja disfrutamos mucho esta experiencia, agradecemos la oportunidad de ser aceptados y poder trabajar juntos, además nos dieron nuestro propio lugar para dormir y eso para las parejas es indispensable. Aprendimos a realizar tareas muy variadas y nuevas para nosotros. Al ser tareas nuevas para muchos uno tiende a cometer errores, nada grave pero son evitables si se da la supervicion adecuada y entrenamiento correcto a los nuevos voluntarios. Si quieres aprender cosas nuevas y estar en contacto con los animales este voluntariado es perfecto y los alrededores están llenos de playas.

My stay at the farm was a wonderful volunteer placement. All the wonderful staff and volunteers made me feel very welcome and I was able to share a great time with them. I spent the whole time looking after the animals, which was also a lot of fun. Sam and his family are very responsive to the needs of the volunteers. The working hours are also very fair with two days off a week. I can definitely recommend it and wish everyone at the farm all the best.
