I spend three lovely weeks with Pieter and the other locals and volunteers at the Winterdodgers Camp and enjoyed it a lot. It is a very relaxed place where you can spend lots of time however you want. During the day I did many walks in the nature with the people there and learned so much about it. So if you're interested in South African wildlife, ecology and biodiversity I would highly recommend this place :)

I had a wonderful experience being a part of this project. It was in a beautiful and remote location with stunning landscapes and so much to discover. The volunteer work was to go on walks everyday and identify different plant, insect, and animal species that you find in the area. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience, learned so so much, and even might've found a new career path. Peter was great and very helpful whenever I had questions and I would highly recommend this experience!

I learned a lot during my time at Sibayi. I came into the project really without any prior knowledge or experience and it was really interesting. Thank you so much for everything Pieter and Cam! I really appreciate my time spent here and hope to see you guys again.

I loved my stay with Pieter and Cam!! Even though it was calmer than expected with me staying there during low season, I got to meet some nice other travelers and locals and had a great time. The project is truly Pieter's passion and it was amazing to be able to be a part of that.

I loved this place! The atmosphere was really open and chill and I met so many cool people during my stay. I spent 6 weeks at the project, and if you have the opportunity I really recommend to stay for a longer time to be able to really experience the place and to give a good contribution to the project. The work is fun and you choose your own hours. Everyone at the camp is really knowledgeable and I learned a lot through out my stay. Pieter and Cam are also amazing cooks and I already miss the food! They were even able to provide gluten free meals for me, which I'm am extremely grateful for.

Since the first moment I arrived Pieter and the family that lives in Winter Dodgers make me feel part of them. I have learned so much about animals and the ecosystems in South Africa and Africa in general that now reforced my compromise to try to make and positive impact in the world. Thank you a lot to Pieter, Cam, Kai and Luka for share sooo many stories and teach us about this wonderful continent. I really had a beautiful and unforgettable time with you guys and the volunteers. I can't wait to come back and play chess and do safaris with all of you again. See you soon friends!

I had a very good and unforgettable experience at this project. I learned a lot about nature, animals and the country. Pieter, Cam and the others at the project were so welcoming, helpful and friendly. The food was really amazing. Us volunteers were working in our own pace. We went for nice walks in the area and documented insects, flowers etc. Pieter brought us for trips, safaris and the beach. All of us at the project usually hanged out during the evenings which was very fun. It was a good mixture of fun and working for something important. I already miss the project and the people!

The reserve is an experience I hope no one will miss out on! The amount of things I learned here, the fun I had and the places I've been I'll never forget. This month has changed me and the way I look at things, in the most possible way. The Crew is amazing and very wholesome, but it is still up to you just how good your stay can get, because you can choose your own activities and how you spend your time! Loved this place and would gladly come back, especially because they are working on making it even more awesome every week. the reserve rocks!

Had an awesome time, Pieter is full of interesting stories and so much wildlife knowledge so can learn a lot. It's super nice to be surrounded by nature everyday and enjoy the slow pace. Pieter and Cam are great hosts and also excellent cooks so dinners were always tasty. Would definitely love to return!
