I was really looking forward to this experience, but that was probably the work-exchange where I felt the least welcome. I would not recommend it. Me and the other volunteer that was there at the time had to leave early because we could not get along with Ata. Doris and the kids are lovely. The work instructions were pretty vague, even when we asked for more directions which made completing the work pretty hard. Overall the instructions and the feedback were usually contradicting which made it difficult and uncomfortable. Although I was expecting it, but living conditions are very very basic.

Annie was one of the few people we had to let go earlier than arranged. Guests usually start with very basic tasks like weeding to familiarise themselves w others and the property. If they apply themselves, they can move to more complex projects. Annie did not get to this stage. She already left the first task incomplete. When asked about challenges, she did not communicate but withdrew. This pattern repeated itself over the next days and unfortunately made it impossible to work together.
