This place is perfect if you love nature. The surroundings are beautiful and very peaceful, and you will have a lot of free time. There are other young international travelers working at the host, which can create a fun and social atmosphere. The location is very isolated from cities and everyday life, but that also makes it an ideal place to disconnect, relax, and recharge. The tasks are quite easy and mainly include cleaning, helping in housekeeping, and assisting with front-of-house duties.

We stayed in the host for two weeks and had a great time. Everyone there was verry kind and nice. The work was verry chilled. We cleaned the host rooms and camper bathrooms, when guests were there we helped in the kitchen and we did the laundry. We had a lot of free time and the work was most of the time flexible. Our accomodation was a lodge with pur own bathroom witch was great. Food was provided and we could add some wishes to the shopping list. We could use the kitchen all the time and in the evening we ate together. We loved to stay there!

I had a great time at the host, mainly because of the other backpackers who ran the host. We had a lot of fun together and I would say that your stay really depends on these connections. The nature in the surrounding area is beautiful, but unfortunately there aren't too many different hiking trails or paths. However, if you enjoy the slow life in a remote location, this is definitely a great opportunity for volunteer work! The work is super relaxed and depends on how busy the season is, I had lots of free time in winter. Many thanks to Ralph & Meg, the owners, who welcomed me so warmly.

Really enjoyed my time at the host; the people who work/volunteer there are friendly and easy to get on with. The work is straight forward as described in the description. It was nice to be close to nature and have a lovely view of the mountains. It's a lot different from the city but you soon adapt to it.

I had an amazing time volunteering at the host! The experience was incredibly rewarding. I loved being part of such a dedicated and friendly team. Everyone was supportive and passionate, which made working together a joy. The natural beauty of the host made it even more special, and I'm grateful for the chance to contribute to such a welcoming environment. I had a great time at the host! The work and hours were fair and simple. It was east to meet and get to know the other travellers working there, as well as people passing through. The area is beautiful with some bush walks nearby and a river to swim in. The location is a little isolating so it may be better for someone with a car who can explore the nearby area and towns, but is still relaxing and fun without one.

During my stay tasks consisted of mainly housekeeping, waitressing when there were guests. With very few bookings there was a lot of free time/no work. The host would visit a few times a day to check-in or give us a new job, but mainly we split tasks between the staff. Most other staff members were international and working for their 88-days, they seemed to settle into the main roles whilst I done little bits here and there when needed. Days off consisted of tanning outside or you may have the potential to go into town with one of the hosts, this will be alongside a shopping run. Wifi limited.

Had a great time at the host, met some great friends and the work was relatively easy. unfortunately we had the flood during my last week and a half at the host so it was very quiet but brought us all closer as friends. loved walking around the grounds! :)

It was a nice place out in the nature, would probably recommend to someone who wants to get away for a bit and enjoy the quiet. The nature is really nice and all the people I worked with were lovely it just can get a bit boring and isolating at times as there isn't that much to do

We had a fun time at the host! We learned a lot about housekeeping and working at the restaurant. We got to know other volunteers and had a great time together!
