As soon as I arrived, Ikary made me feel at home. Indeed, the hostel was my home for more than one month! It was nice to share food and chats all together, and I met a lot of international travellers. The whole experience was super fun and also I learned a lot about being a receptionist, which is very interesting.

Being in Riga with all the staff members at the hostel was amazing. I had a great time with everyone. Ikari is a great host — the tasks were always clear, and he never asked for more than what was agreed. I really enjoyed spending time with everyone; they were all great people. I'm taking with me many friends and lots of memories. I'm definitely going back again, even if it's just to say hi.

Esta fue y siempre será una de mis mejores primeras experiencias. Ikaria respetó mis necesidades y me permitió aprender de mis errores, convirtiéndolo en una experiencia de crecimiento. El hostal es acogedor y la gente que conoces deja huellas y enseñanzas. Mi experiencia en el hostel superó todas mis expectativas. Ikari ha sido el mejor anfitrión que podría haber tenido y se ha convertido en un querido amigo para mi. El ambiente con el resto del equipo y voluntarios ha sido algo realmente bonito y especial. Las tareas no son difíciles y se respetan los horarios. Además como voluntario cuentas con un suministro de comida semanal. En definitiva recomendaría totalmente este voluntariado (especialmente si eres alguien a quien le encante conocer gente nueva y pasarse horas riendo). Staying at the hostel for the last month has been amazing! The work is easy and manageable. You always get your two days off in a row so you can explore maybe other Baltic countries. The owner, Ikary, created such a welcoming environment as soon as you walk through the doors. the hostel is very cozy and It has good social vibes but not party vibes. You'll have a family here and create wonderful memories the whole time. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for that type of experience :)

Had an wonderful month here and am truly sad to leave. I got to work with a lovely team of incredibly outgoing, sociable and fun people from all over the world and make fantastic memories with them. Ikary is a kind and inspiring person who is always around to look out for his team and he made me feel welcome from the start. The work was very manageable; both the cleaning and reception shifts were fine and in line with what was agreed. I learnt a lot here and would highly recommend this volunteering experience.

It exceeded all expectations. From the moment you arrive, they make you feel like part of a family. The place is in the heart of Riga, very central — you can do everything on foot. Ikary is a phenomenon: humble, respectful, and caring — I made a brother for life. Amazing volunteers: Gerda, Misaki, Clara, and Carolina made the experience even better. A perfect 10/10 for the hostel — come without hesitation.

Supero mis expectativas, fue mi segunda experiencia como voluntario y debo decir que es una experiencia que debes vivir. En cuanto a trabajo aprendí y valoré las diferentes actividades en el hostal desde ayudar en limpieza y también en recepción, las horas son las acordadas y también se respetan los días de Descanso. Ikary es un host increíble y pasamos un tiempo genial, muy profesional y también amigo de sus amigos. Gracias Ikary! ¡Me encantó totalmente 😍! Es mi primer voluntariado y no pudo ser mejor. Aprendí mucho , Ikary es la persona más amable que he conocido y definitivamente volveré, me ayudó en todo momento y recomendó excelentes lugares para visitar en mis tiempos libres. Se respetaron totalmente mis horarios y se sintió como un hogar , súper seguro y disfruté a mil las comidas del equipo. Estoy feliz de haber iniciado mi camino como voluntaria en the hostel, y muy agradecida por la paciencia y cada aprendizaje que me llevo.
