Reception help at our cozy hostel in the heart of Monteverde, CR

Join our small team and support us in hostel reception - welcome guests to the hostel, keep common areas tidy, give tour advice and help with bookings! We look for someone who has positive energy, respect for our space & team, and excitement for life! Talking with guests is the bulk of the job, so you need to be friendly and interested in learning.
The gig is generally pretty chill, so travelers are welcome to work on their own stuff on-shift.

Programmdetails
Volunteers receive room & board in exchange for 30 hours of work per week; they live on-site and receive free delicious breakfast daily + either lunch OR dinner (2 meals per day)! Our volunteers are treated as a regular member of the team and invited into our little family!
Aktivitäten & Schichten
Reception tasks: Help check guests in, input their info into the system, and explain the details of our hostel experience. Answer guest questions and requests. Answer inquiries/messages coming in on the reception computer. Keep common areas tidy (lobby, living room, kitchen).
Tours: Travelers visiting Monteverde are very active and looking to do many tours; it is important that we can provide guests with informative, unbiased tour recommendations and communicate clearly with tour providers to make reservations! Volunteers will learn all the tours we offer and help guests with reserving tours.
Regeln
We are a pretty laid-back team, however it should go without saying that we expect our volunteers to respect the work we are doing, the hostel we call home, and the clients we serve! This means showing up on time to scheduled shifts ready to learn, respecting quiet hours + your hostel neighbors, and being a positive, honest member of the team.
