Stay on a holistic horse farm in Sweden's southernmost wilderness
Das Erlebnis
We are a couple from Slovenia who live on a farm close to the national park of Tiveden. We both work remotely in the company of our Arabian horses, sheep, goat, dogs and cats. Our goal is to renovate the old stable and to convert part of the plot into a small eco campsite, where visitors will be able to enjoy nature and animals. We are also breeding Arabian horses.

Landwirtschaft: Pflanze Feldfrüchte, säe Samen und hilf bei Außenarbeiten.
Malen & Dekorieren: Hilfe beim Streichen oder Dekorieren der Einrichtung.

2 freie Tage pro Woche
Privatzimmer: Du bekommst ein Bett in einem privaten Zimmer. Mit anderen Worten, ein Zimmer nur für dich.
Team dorm: Du bekommst ein Bett in einem Gemeinschaftszimmer, was bedeutet, dass du dir den Raum mit anderen Personen teilst.
Frühstück: Du hast Anspruch auf ein kostenloses Frühstück an jedem Tag deines Aufenthalts.

Programmdetails
Our farm is the perfect place for those wanting a real Swedish countryside experience with adventures in beautiful forests among plenty of lakes. Here you can experience the pleasures of simple life in close connection with nature. This hosting opportunity can also be perfect for creative types, as you will have the ideal conditions for writing, painting, composing music or creating any other kind of art. Some work will be done in teams and some on your own. We prefer to welcome volunteers in couples, since it is a bit remote (5 km to the first village) and we don't want you to be lonely.:)
Aktivitäten & Schichten
The tasks vary with seasons, but currently what we need most help with is setting up fences, collecting wood for logs, building a small stable and a barefoot path, gardening, etc. There are also minor daily chores related to animals. To be honest, our current tasks are more suitable for guys or strong ladies as they are quite physical (not necessarily demanding, but not so much for those who are more into activities like horse grooming and similar). The shift usually start between 9 and 10 in the morning. Usually, you will stay in a renovated guest house with your own kitchen and bathroom. In the summer, you can use the caravan with its own kitchen and toilet.
Regeln
We don't have many rules, but we prefer to host volunteers who are independent as we have (computer) work to be done in the afternoons; this doesn't mean we won't socialize at all, as one of the reasons we like to host volunteers is to get to know people from different countries and the cultural exchange, but we appreciate travellers who also like their time off.
