Creating a fruit orchard & farm
Das Erlebnis
This is an historical place, famous far beyond Småland. We won it in a competition about the best project. Help us restore this beautiful farm! We have started planting a lot of organic fruit trees that will need a lot of care. There is also an amazing abandoned botanical garden which we want to bring back to life! We have big greenhouses for vegetables and buildings that need restoring. Lots to do at this wonderful place right at lake Åsnen!

Malen & Dekorieren: Hilfe beim Streichen oder Dekorieren der Einrichtung.
Bauen & Reparieren: Hilf bei verschiedenen Reparatur- oder Bauarbeiten.

Programmdetails
You will mostly join us taking care of the land. In the summer there will be a lot of work with weeding, fertilising, watering and clearing the land. You will be trained to take care of fruit trees, vegetables, flowers etc. You can learn about how to run an organic orchard and we also have a project to clear out DDT pollution on the land with bioremediation. It is hard physical work to farm because we are doing most things by hand, as in the old Days. But nothing is better after using your body then to enjoy a quiet walk in nature, a good meal, and a swim in the refreshing lake afterwards :)
Aktivitäten & Schichten
We can adjust the shifts to your and our needs and we will provide you with place to sleep, food, a bike and the possibility to explore the amazing nature here in Småland and learn more about sustainable living. You also meet a lot of different young people from all over the world of you stay with us over Summer.
Regeln
We would love someone who likes to work and live with people and is interested in a sustainable lifestyle. You don't need previous experience but we need someone who is up for "hands on" work. We also ask you to respect the place, people and the nature around it.
