I had an awesome week at the Center with Deirdre and Bill. It is such a tranquil place, and I was able to really disconnect from my everyday life. I was there during a the Center, and helped with food preparation and clearing up. I learnt so much from cooking with Deirdre in her kitchen. I also was able to chat with the guests and loved walking around the property and picking almonds. I walked to Comares too, which was one of my highlights. Mi primera experiencia de voluntariado no podría haber sido mejor. El centro de retiro es un lugar mágico en el que logré conectarme, localizado en un lugar precioso entre el océano y las montañas. Las actividades fueron buenas y la experiencia fue única, llena de aprendizajes que podré aplicar en mi vida desde ahora. Deirdre y Bill son personas comprometidas con su proyecto y estilo de vida, cada indicación fue dada de manera adecuada y ordenada, su guía fue clave para el seguimiento de las actividades y me encantaría regresar pronto a este hermoso lugar y volver a contribuir a su crecimiento

We had an amazing time at the Center! Deidre and Bill are both very very nice, and so are their four sweet dogs!We felt at home right from the start, and really enjoyed staying up in the caravan. It offered great views and privacy. We mostly stayed in the kitchen, helping Deidre cook and prepare the meals. We really enjoyed her cooking, so it was great to get some behind the scenes. We didn't have the time / possibility to join a lot of yoga classes, but we did our own up by the van which was nice ! If you stay longer and like hiking, we recommend walking to comares! (2,5 hour hike ish)

Our experience at the Center couldn't have been better! Deirdre and Bill are truly caring and deeply kind. The work is quite flexible and consists mainly of helping in the kitchen and cleaning the main areas. We stayed in the caravan high up in the grounds, which was very cozy and offered privacy. I would love to come back to the Center in these beautiful mountains. Thanks again

Our first worldpacker experience and it exceeded all expectations! the Center was perfect, from beautiful views to incredible nature! Deirdre and Bill are such caring people that truly make the Center feel like home (also Blanca, Joey, Buster & Bella) Our tasks mostly consisted of helping around the Center and helping Deirdre cook when guests were there (might I add that her cooking is incredible)! We stayed in a cozy caravan which was tucked away with its own toilet, shower, and amazing sunset views :) We could not recommend this experience more!! Thanks for everything Deirdre and Bill <3

I can't describe how incredibly my time at the Center was. Deirdre and bill are very caring, attentive &humorous people from whom I was able to learn a lot during my time. Thanks to them, the Center really felt like home. You can feel that this place has something magical and the life there had a big influence on my personal development. The tasks mainly consisted of repainting the railings and that was actually really fun. We often eat together and talked and laugh a lot! the Center is a place for everyone& everyone should see this place& feel the calming, loving aura! We will come back

I can't really describe my time at the Center. Deirdre & Bill are both lovely & caring people. It was really hard for me to leave them & the Center. They always looked after us and made sure we had a pleasant time. The work we did (painting) didn't feel like work because we were a big group and felt at home at the Center. It is a place everyone should have seen. It is truly magical and I have learned so much about me & the world. I am not sure if Deirdre and Bill understand how big of an impact they had on us. I will miss them and the dogs so much. I will definitely come back!

I can't put into words how incredible my time was at the Center. Dierdre and Bill have created a perfect little corner of the world that everyone should experience. I found it really difficult to leave such an incredible place. The work we did was enjoyable, mostly painting railings while getting to enjoy the sun!! The food was incredible (thanks to Jojo!) and being able to eat meals together made us feel like one big family. I will miss the Center and hope to return as soon as possible to learn more about the Sunburst Revolution, yoga and spend more time with the dogs!!
