I had a truly wonderful experience at the hostel. Erika is a very welcoming and helpful host who makes sure you have a very comfortable stay there. I volunteered with three other people there who made the place feel like home. Also they pushed me a lot with speaking and improving spanish in the most positive way. Generally, the work is not hard and the hostel rather hosts pilgrims who do the camino de santiago. Therefore, you have the chance to meet a lot of different people each day and have enough free time to enjoy beautiful San Vicente. Muchas gracias por todo! 🥰

La experiencia fue de 10. Erika y Nerea son personas increíbles y siempre estuvieron pendientes de que me sintiera a gusto. El trabajo es liviano y se respeta por completo lo acordado. Es verdad que parece un hostel de surf, pero en realidad es un albergue del Camino. Aun así, hay un montón de cosas para hacer, principalmente en la naturaleza. Sin duda volvería!

Que puedo decir... El equipo hace todo en este genere de experiencia y aquí he encontrado una personas fenomenales! Unos AMIGOS! Quiero decir solo gracias, y gracias otra vez por todos!! Me la pasé increíble, San Vicente es un pueblo pequeño pero muy hermoso, las montañas, las playas, los acantilados, las puestas de sol. En cuanto al hostel la gente que pasa por ahí es muy amigable y es muy fácil charlar con ellos y hacer amigos, el trabajo era sencillo, me lo explicó Erika personalmente y siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudarme y era flexible si queríamos cambiar nuestros turnos entre voluntarios, también destaco a Nerea que hace un increíble trabajo como recepcionista y siempre te apoya dentro y fuera del hostel. Gracias por tanto team el hostel ❤️

Erika es increíble! Me sentí muy a gusto voluntariando en su hostal. Nos terminamos tomando mucho cariño y ella siempre está predispuesta a enseñarnos como hacer las cosas y también es consciente de nuestros estados de ánimo. the hostel fue mi hogar y lo seguirá siendo siempre. Nerea es la empleada del hostel y junto con Manuel el otro voluntario armamos un grupo de amigos hermoso y también nos tomamos mucho aprecio ❤️ Recomiendo este voluntariado si te gusta la naturaleza, san vicente es un lugar hermoso con playa y vista a los picos de europa, hermosos acantilados y bosques.

It was amazing! First about the location: if you love nature, small village's quiet vibe, hike in the mountains and surf the ocean, this is the place to be! Second, the team: I felt very lucky to meet them. Nerea, the receptionist and Erika, the owner are 2 wonderful persons. Very welcoming, kind, helping, with good and fun energy you're gonna feel at home within seconds. Then the tasks are super chill, about 3 hours maximum a day and easy to do. We have a small kitchen just for us, small rooms for the volunteers, 2 surfboards at disposal, breakfast and we are in the center. I recommend 200%!

The room me and another volunteer stayed in was a very small room within the room for the guests, without a window and the door didn't close. The living room is shared with the many pilgrims, so there's not a lot of privacy. The garden is a nice place to sit when the weather is good. The host does not try to bring the volunteers together. There's nothing arranged for the volunteers, no food, no games, plans, etc. There are surfboards to borrow, but it's about 30 min walk to the beach, so it's basically impossible to use them. Also, keep in mind that 99% of the guests are only staying one night

Hola Lucie, en el albergue hay juegos de mesa, el desayuno está incluido en vuestra estancia, y siempre tratamos de que seamos un equipo y compartir momentos de alegría juntos. Quizá el no saber español es un límite a la hora de compartir momentos juntos, ojalá que te vaya muy bien.
