Minha passagem pelo hostel foi maravilhosa, tanto pela recepção da host Alejandra, tanto pela equipe de voluntários e pelas colaboradores, todos me trataram maravilhosamente e me senti muito cuidada e querida por eles. As tarefas são bem organizadas, e a equipe de voluntários eram muito empáticos e resilientes. Todos se ajudam. Aconteceram muitas coisas em 1 mês que parece que foi muito mais tempo que estive aqui mas também o tempo passou voando. Adorei cada problema e aventura que tive aqui. Vou lembrar com muito carinho de tudo e todos Gracias, thank you, Obrigado. 💕💕💕

Meu primeiro voluntariado e foi uma experiência incrível. Com a ideia inicial de ficar 1 mês se tornaram mais de 3 meses. Tive uma ótima acolhida de toda a equipe, e dos demais voluntários, esses que se tornaram amigos. Minha jornada está apenas começando e foi um ótimo começo. Foram muitos aprendizados e desenvolvimento pessoal. É também um ótimo lugar para desenvolver as habilidades em inglês e espanhol. No mais, se puderem, façam voluntariado nesse hostel, não irão se arrepender.

I arrived at the hostel very last minute — it was the only option I had at the time — but it turned out to be a good decision. I met amazing guests, volunteers and staff and really enjoyed the experience. Some tasks were tough, like night shifts and making bunk beds, and at times the volunteer work felt even more demanding than the staff's. When my phone broke, the other volunteers helped me stay updated from the whatsapp groupchat, which meant a lot. Overall, it was a rewarding month, as it was my second month volunteering solo abroad. I'm grateful I got to be part of the team.

The people I meet where incredible the staff from the hostel gardens is amazing as well as the guests, the location is very easy to move around.

The hostel has a great indoor space and a very good location. However, there were issues with cleanliness and bedbugs, which made things uncomfortable and led almost all of us to some allergic reactions during our stay. Also, the information about the laundry for volunteers wasn't clearly explained, and I ended up with some unexpected costs. That said, the staff is super friendly and welcoming, which really helped make the experience more positive. Overall, it was an interesting opportunity, even though I couldn't fully manage it with my current job.

This hostel (in low season) is very chill, and it's in a very central area of Lisbon with really good public transportation. The managers are restructuring the team and norms so my experience was slightly chaotic: there was a change from low to high season so the schedules changed 3 times to adapt to new goals, which was a bit confusing due to lack of communication between teams as in the beginning the team was slightly problematic. Either way, the reception team and the manager are amazing, they've been volunteers before so they're very supportive. I recommend for small stays in Lisbon.

During the two and a half months that I spent voluntarily at this hostel, I had an incredible and enriching experience. The location is excellent, allowing easy access to everything the city has to offer. Exchanging cultures with guests and volunteers from different parts of the world was one of the most enriching parts of my stay. I made friends that I will last a lifetime. The hostel staff are extremely welcoming and kind, making everyone feel at home. I recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a really special and alternative experience.

I had an incredible time at UGH! the staff was so welcoming and nice , I immediately felt welcome. And I met the most awesome people there and made new friends from all over the world. The work is really not hard and you habe a lot of time to explore the beautiful places in and around Lisbon. Also the hostel is in a really good place, so you can walk to almost every destination and if not there is a metro station closely. I really can't put it in words but I had a livechanging experience and I will never forget this time !
