Simplemente increíble. Me sentí como en casa desde el principio gracias a Elmer. Lugar perfecto para conectarse con la naturaleza pues está en la pura jungla. Solo tengo ganas de volver! Experiencia más que recomendada!!! Los quiero mucho!!!!

What a beautiful place. This is a farm in the jungle. You have to cross two rivers on foot to get there. The work is reasonable and sometimes you can put in some hard work. Most of my time working was spent raking the leaves off of the trails around the farm. Every day the chickens, pig, and dogs need fed. You can either sleep in a dorm-style room on a bunk bed or in a tent. For the food, you buy the food and Elmer, el jefe, cooks the food. Elmer is a wonderful cook, all of his dishes are delicious and I'm definitely going to miss them! Mucho gusto y muchas gracias a Elmer y Emilio!

The farm became my home away from home for the 2 weeks I was there, mostly due to the group of people. We lived together, worked together, cooked together, and went on adventures together. Elmer the farm manager was incredibly kind and very responsive to any requests or feedback I had. The farm itself was immersed in the jungle about a 40 minute walk from the town of Drake Bay and you must cross 2 rivers to get there, so if you don't like remote areas it might not be for you. Otherwise a perfect place to connect with nature. An incredible experience, I have no regrets.

Se me quedó corta la experiencia. Lamentablemente hube de interrumpirla por cuestiones personales. Pero es un lugar fantástico. Han invertido en mejoras para los voluntarios y el lugar, junto al parque nacional Corcovado es una opción interesante para los voluntarios que quieran tener una experiencia más calmada en la cercanía de estos parajes. Hay una disposición clara por parte de los responsables en generar una experiencia positiva, dinámica y en equipo con los voluntarios. Lo mantengo en mi lista de pendientes confiando en que el camino me vuelva a llevar allá

Una experiencia en medio de la naturaleza donde el trabajo físico y con animales te hace disfrutar al máximo del tiempo libre en la naturaleza y te enseña una vida con responsabilidad ligada a la tierra, elmer es una persona muy comprometida con la finca y amable. Un lugar que siempre necesita muchas manos muy bueno para conocer gente y separarse de la vida en la cuidad

Un lugar maravilloso en medio de la jungla. Se respetan los horarios laborales. Los anfitriones son muy amables. Estuve un mes. Enamorado de los senderos, son de ensueño. Las actividades son simples. Lo recomiendo al 100%. Superó mis expectativas.

First of all I recommend asking how to get there and giving a heads up when you arrive, it will be a lot easier for you. The location is great, you are fully surrounded by nature and have waterfalls somewhat close by. If you don't to walk until there, you can always take a dive in the river right outside the house. The work isn't grinding you to the bones, but can be tedious sometimes. The host tries hard to make it a great experience for everyone.

This has been a very beautiful and transformative time for me. Definitely isn't for everyone but if you're looking to get in touch with yourself and nature this is the perfect place for you. It's a little isolated as the center of drake bay is 30 minutes walking. The walk is beautiful and there is plenty to explore here on the farm. The people you meet here are wonderful. Elmer is awesome with high positivity. Take advantage of the river and waterfall. You'll miss it. Bring repellent. So important. Overall this place is amazingly beautiful and I will definitely return. Pura Vida💚

Claro que me ensucié, me picaron muchos moscos, sude mucho, mi ropa estuvo mojada casi todo el tiempo, y lo disfruté muchísimo! Completamente fuera de lo común, un despeje total de la sociedad, un respiro muy profundo en la naturaleza. Gracias a todxs mis compañerxs voluntarixs por hacer de esta vivencia tan divertida y alegre 🫶🏻

The farm is right in the jungle, we have snakes and frogs also lizards . you need cross a River to get the farm. So you need prepare for get into water and get wet all the time. I get Drake bay by Sansa flight, you can buy ticket one day before you leave San José, if you are looking for bus, you can take bus at San José to Palmar Norte and then you can take a taxi from bus station in palmar Norte to the dock in sierpe for the boat to Drake bay. Once you get there you can follow the sign to the farm, there is only one big road from dock to farm, it's easy to get the farm.
