My stay at the hostel ended abruptly without warning, mediation, or discussion. Communication and support from the management were insufficient and inconsistent, making tasks and collaboration challenging. The dorm was disorganised and unprepared. I felt unwelcome, excluded, and disrespected throughout my stay. The host could improve by using non-violent communication techniques, clear instructions, and inclusive support for volunteers with diverse learning or communication styles. Future volunteers may find it helpful to clarify expectations and proceed with caution.

I loved every moment of this experience and would love to come back someday!! The atmosphere at the hostel and within the team was amazing and the work was always fair. Emma and Jason always made sure that you could have the day off you requested, so I was able to easily explore the surrounding area and go hiking. It really felt like a home away from home with the cosy communal area, the free tea/hot chocolate and all the wonderful people. :)

This has been My first experience as Volunteer in My life and I LOVED This place. Emma and Jason are the Best hosts. Although my English is very basic, they were always patient with me and helped me learn new words. It was possible to organize shifts to visit other cities. The staff guys are wonderful. I will be immensely grateful for this great opportunity. I will miss the hostel Studen Hostel and your so cute people.🤗🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🫀🇨🇴

This was an amazing stay, with the most amazing people! The work was super easy and often done well before the schedules hours, which just gave me more time to go out and explore the surrounding nature. I couldn't recommend this place enough, it was always such a light, happy and social place with a very cozy homey feeling. There literally wasn't a day I didn't cry-laugh at some point. I would love to come back!! :)

My second time at the hostel and I love it so much. The city is great and the tasks are reasonable and easy. Emma and Jason are amazing and will make you feel at home and all the volunteers are super nice. It's probably the best hostel Scotland, I really recommend it.

My experience volunteering in this hostel was all i could've hoped for. Everyone is so nice and welcoming, the work is well-explained and leaves you a lot of free time to go exploring. the hostel is a perfect city to stay, you can reach easily both the big cities and the Highlands. The cozy vibe of the hostel makes it very easy to talk and make friends with people from all over the world. Special thanks to Emma and Jason for creating such a friendly atmosphere and always making sure that we were having the best possible experience. I will miss you all!

It was my first volunteering experience and I couldn't have asked for a better one! Emma and Jason made me feel part of the hostel and I found in them friends for life and not just people to work with. Thanks to them everything is well organized, explained in detail and easy. The shift rotation is fair, flexible and you have lots of free time to explore the beauty of Scotland! If you are an outdoorsy person, who enjoys to be in nature and loves to hike this is the place for you! The hostel is very cozy and it's the best spot to talk with people with different stories from all over the world
