Cook traditional Moroccan food and experience the Sahara desert.
Das Erlebnis
We are happy to show you how to cook tagine, gamilla, a typical amazigh omelette, sometimes couscous and other traditional Moroccan food. Each day 1 or 2 people can help in preparing the food that we enjoy eating all together. Someone cooks, someone else cleans. We are always excited if you have recipes and meals that you like to share with us.
Besides cooking, volunteers will help in the other tasks as well.

Beschreibung: This fee is to help in covering the volunteers' daily living costs, such as 3 meals & Moroccan tea each day, electricity, gasoline for collecting groceries from town, etc.

Programmdetails
We start our day slowly waking up, first feeding the animals and after that we start preparing breakfast. If there is cleaning in the kitchen needed this will be done first. After breakfast we start the work. The work varies on the time of year. Usually there is always gardening work, and sometimes we work on natural construction projects. Help is needed as well in keeping the house and area clean. Volunteers can see which work fits them, and no skills are required, but we expect that everyone helps where they can. We will be happy to teach you everything :)
Not long after breakfast 1 or 2 people can help preparing lunch, as this usually needs to cook for a while. During the hottest hours of the day there will be a lot of time to rest and relax. After lunch of the day there is some time for work again, and we will choose a nice moment in the day to go for walks with the dogs.
All tasks are depending on the season/weeks and can vary each period.
Aktivitäten & Schichten
Cooking is general task that everybody (can) help in, besides the general work in the house & garden. We are always happy with help in cooking, and we clean all together.
Regeln
We expect that everyone respects the environment they enter. We treat each other with respect and we treat nature with high respect as well. Please understand that where we live is very different from any western country or even from the bigger cities in Morocco. We expect that you respect the culture and religion of this place. We gladly explain to you everything and are happy to answer all your questions :)
If you have any allergies or wish to eat vegan or vegetarian, please let us know! We are as flexible as we can with food and do our best to accommodate everyone's dietary requirements. We do live in a very remote area which makes the availability of products in town limited.
