I had the best week of my life at the reserve. Everyone is so so lovely specifically Gilang, Fa'iz and Wildan who we worked closely with. They looked after us so well and were so good and patient with teaching us. The work we did out there was so rewarding and so much fun. I will definitely be returning to the reserve and would recommend to anyone!!!!!

This was my first ever volunteering program and I'm not lying when I say that the bar is now set HIGH. The two weeks in the reserve didn't feel like working, it felt like home. The staff from the reserve was the best and they always ensured that we would have the best time. I learned so much from all of them. I was sad to leave. I can't wait to go back and work with them again! :)

I had an incredible time with the reserve on the reserve. The people are so welcoming and enthusiastic which really made the experience special. The diving and conservation experience is amazing, wish I could have stayed longer, the vibe was great the entire time

I worked with the reserve and sanctum dive on both a group conservation project and to gain my open water diving qualification. Both were amazing opportunities that I'm incredibly grateful to have had the chance to participate in. The staff are so friendly and make you feel welcome every step of the way, as well as being incredibly patient with everyone's learning paces. It's clear that they all really care about the health of the ocean and it's inhabitants and I'm very lucky to have had the chance to take part in the work that they were doing and to meet so many amazing people along the way.

Wow, what an experience! This program allowed me to become scuba certified, make a real difference in helping the earth & meeting the wonderful local people! I had the best time with the reserve & got to have so many new experiences: coral restoration, manta ray & sea turtle sightings.

Gilang and the team at echohero and sanctum dive centre are great. So friendly and welcoming and helped the entire group so much first with passing our open water certification and then with all the dives throughout the rest of the trip. Gill and his team taught us so much about the underwater world including manta, turtles, fish and coral. I would recommend this experience to anyone who wants to learn to dive or who wants to have an amazing time learning about how we can work together to protect the underwater ecosystem.

My time in the reserve with this program was wonderful—the learning and dives were well-planned, informative, and allowed me to achieve my dream of swimming with Manta Rays! Food was delivered or offered onsite, living quarters were comfortable and safe, and the team at Sanctum dive was happy to help us explore the island (shoutout Fish!). Our trip coordinator Amy was absolutely lovely (I should know, she was my roomie!) and I would 100% recommend doing a trip with her and the reserve!
